Eddie Hearn tweets(worrying)

Post by 1 nut »

Just seen E.Hearn tweet too Brian rose and bobby rimmer that Brian had rose 9 places in the box rec ratings
This worries me the box rec ratings are not official in any way shape or form and do not effect the governing bodies ratings
I have tons of respect for b.hearn and box rec as a website but .......................(Edward) tut tut

Because a top promoter should not be tweeting a Internet site ratings when it's not got any true bearing

Have either of those put out revised rankings since last night? I doubt it. Just looked at the tweet, he doesn't claim anything in the tweet, it's just a picture. No idea why you've got a problem with it.
I get the feeling that he thinks there's something sinister about it.

eddie is going to buy boxrec like golden boy bought the ring and strategically place his fighters higher up whilst getting rid of all the decent writers and get some thats more company friendly in, and then to do the opposite of the ring and launch a magazine edition of boxrecnews

BoxRec ratings are free from political rankings and are far more accurate.

...wait....don't most promoters and US TV companies put weight in to rankings of a magazine owned by a promoter?

Yes, but the Ring ratings are actually very good. Just coz DLH owns it, doesn't mean he messes with the ratings. :shame:

Donaire and Broner in the top 10 P4P would suggest they (the ratings, not the fighters) aren't "very good", decent yes but just as poor in some cases as every other ranking system.

A promoter goes on twitter to boast about his fighters moving up the ratings of some boxing website?

Surley rose has to fight Sergey Rabchenko next for the euro title. Rabchenko already called him out a while ago and with hatton without a tv deal it should be an easy fight to make. Hopefully he dosent go the WBO euro/interncontential bs route. If this fight is not made you have to feel as though hearn/rose is dodging him and trying to find an alternative route around him to the top for no other reason other than they dont think they can beat him.

I would strognly recommend he does dodge him.
Only one result there. Rabchenko by stoppage - body shot.

Boxrec rankings are okay but theyre far from perfect.

Audley winning Prizefighter then going above David Price was hilarious.

Is that true?? I was just about to comment that Boxrec rankings probably had more relevance (not importance) than the world bodies, but if thats the case, maybe not!
