Post by jessi »

Mine had to be naz v robinson at Cardiff arms park in September 95 !
I had a naz t-shirt on and feared for my life before and after the fight !
Great night though :TU:

I went up to Birmingham for the big W arren bill a couple of years back and it started kicking off with Birmingham City and Cardiff fans. We weren't with the Cardiff lads but heard that Welsh people were being smacked all over for no reason, other than having a Welsh accent, after the trouble.

Me and my 2 mates had to leave early and missed the last 2 fights.

Worst event i eva went to for trouble was an MMA event my mate fought on , its was called knuckle up and it was at weston-super-mare , these welsh birds started rowing with the security for one reason or another , then the next thing the women got in to a punch up with the doormen , i watch one doorman have to hit this one biggish/fattish women like he would a man to stop her from going at him...these women was fighting like men .
I have been to loads of boxing events where there has been trouble in the crowd but nothing like that mma event.

Yep agree there .

Ive not actually seen a huge amount of trouble at shows to be fair .

Worst ive seen was froch vs dirrell , caused by the time people had to wait between the froch fight and the previous fight whilst getting full of booze .

Yeah that was it. Wasn't particularly too hostile on the whole outside of one section, but last thing we wanted was to get caught with the Cardiff fans on the way out of the arena.

Frank Grant-John Ashton was extremely hostile if you were an Ashton fan. When the CS gas went off and the riot police arrived, we knew it was getting a bit silly... I was only about 15 and had gone to watch a few members of the Wharton stable.

Been to a few where it has been kicking off, but nothing too nasty. I think the worst would have been Trevor Sumner Chris Jickells in Sheffield as my seat was bang in the middle of it all.

Rogan V Fury was pretty bad. I t was kicking off all over the place. Better than the action in the ring.

I know how hostile it was, a lad on another forum was there with his wife (who had never been to a show before) and when Matthew Hall lost to Anthony Small, they clapped the winner - and some of Halls fans set about people in the crowd.

He got his nose broken and she got a black eye. It was appalling and she was really shaken and upset by it.

The bad thing is, he'd persuaded her for ages to attend a show with him and she was apprehensive - and then that happened.

Remember a fight breaking out at Williams vs. Harisson 1 and the crowd shouting to get the guys in the ring, very funny but suppose you had to be there watching the piss on display.

I think I've seen fights at most live fights/cards I've been to, even in the States.

I expected trouble at Haye/Mormeck but it was eerily quiet once he won.

I think the most I've felt like ok this is going to kick off big time was when I was sitting next to some Jason Matthews fans when he fought Darren Dorrington.

Khan-McCloskey where I was sitting got a bit nasty between some Khan supporters and some Irish lads.

At Froch-Dirrell it was booting off every 10 minutes, the police were dragging people out all night which actually turned out to be better entertainment than the main event!
