Hearn will do his utmost to get samir on a 'stacked' card in Hull featuring Luke Campbell and Tommy Coyle.

The Samir fight makes sense, and it would be a good fight IMO. Give Selby a chance to win the Lonsdale belt outright which is something every boxer would like to own.
He's a work in progress, and if he comes through the Samir fight OK then i'd like to see Selby in with some good level international opponent.

I wouldn't have him near Caballero at the moment, he's a hard boxer to beat and look good against. And he only just loses fights, all 3 of the recent defeats were by split decision. Selby needs a few more learning fights against different styles before getting into the eliminators.Adamj1987 wrote:coming off a loss seems hes a big name to go on a recordiamasadlittleboy wrote:Europe seems the obvious answer...but what about calling out Caballero?

Most recent loss was a split AT HOME in which he was DROPPED. He's heading towards 37 and has fought just 12 rounds in 16 months. Get him over here where Selby can have favourable judging if he needs it.Old bones Ian wrote:I wouldn't have him near Caballero at the moment, he's a hard boxer to beat and look good against. Also not quite sure how the Litzau fight was only a split, Caballero was clearly beaten that night.

Choi is a good shout.
Re: wats next for selby
If you watch the video on the homepage about Luke Campbell turning pro he said Lee Selby is fighting Samir Mouneimne on the Hull show in July along with Tommy Coyle v Derry Matthews and Kell Brook should be on the bill too.

But Samir turned it down was also said numerous times.Naandrew wrote:If you watch the video on the homepage about Luke Campbell turning pro he said Lee Selby is fighting Samir Mouneimne on the Hull show in July along with Tommy Coyle v Derry Matthews and Kell Brook should be on the bill too.

EBU champ is Alexander Miskirtchian, looks a tidy boxer but not someone I can see beating Selby. I didn't realse that Paul Truscott beat Miskirtchian early on in their careers, looks like Miskirtchian learnt from his mistakes and moved on well from that defeat.
Re: wats next for selby
Wont be choi he is fighting John Simpson on the burns card in may top fight that tholeforge wrote:EBU champion is fighting in June. Was talk of CHoi.stujones wrote:The Samir fight - or move up to EBU level.... Selby is a class act.
