Fury vs Cunningham best fight at the weekend
We should all give some credit to Tyson, he showed bottle and brute strength and a good chin, big guys when they get put down heavy they usually can't get up - just look at wladimir and lewis, big guys take longer to recover but he recovered quickly.
this guys only 24, his got skills other heavyweights don't have, and size, he is more a natural fighting talent rather than a boxer and puches better whens his not loading up and does more reaction and natural punching also his speed picks when his not loading up, which for a big man can be impressive sometimes and definately could trouble anyone
His a work in progress really, they held onto canelo untill 30 fights maybe they should do the same with tyson as heavyweight bodies only mature around 30 yrs old i'm not saying he should fight bums for the next 10 fights but good fighters like cunningham where he can learn and experience and have to use different skills and attritubutes each time then he could be world champion definately
Best heavyweight fight for a while, I give both Cunningham who i've watched once before against I think it was hernandez who beat him in SD for USS WBC title and Fury, who I fought was going to get knocked out at any time up untill the 7th untill he brutally KO Cunningham - brilliant hats off to both

Mijares v Terrazas wants a word.

A thoroughly entertaining fight. Full credit to Fury, he gives great value and still remains a breath of fresh air....after sitting through hours of F Warren's shite that he served up at Wembley, I remembered why I hadn't been to one of his shows in 14 years.
Another step close to achieving his goal, for me the Fury show gets better every time.

Agreed. Fury is such a raw talent and will get better and better as he matures. A loss for Fury wouldn't be the end of the world at the age of 25/26 and he would come back smarter and stronger.
The fact he is still undefeated is a testament to his character.

I agree, I like watching Fury. Don't we sound a bit like Bruno fans though? "He's always fun to watch, one way or the other...."
Re: Fury vs Cunningham best fight at the weekend
Good points fury is waking up the heavyweight division from its torpor. you are right about his strength too he is only just coming to his full power. Still a way to go yet though.
Re: Fury vs Cunningham best fight at the weekend
Cardle vs hughes was a decent scrap
Re: Fury vs Cunningham best fight at the weekend
yes but fury v cunningham was a fantastic scrap!!... fury would KO both cardle and hughes.Adamj1987 wrote:Cardle vs hughes was a decent scrap

Ok he has improved but to be honest we do not need the likes of Fury representing the UK.
He fights better than he did but the way he qued Cunningham up for the KO with his elbow was out of order. The singing which was shockingly bad yes boxing needs characters but not ones that lack talent. All he has is size and and a dirty style its gonna end badly for him and us when he finally gets beaten properly. Yeah his making money trying to do something in a shit division but he is crap IMO

How will it "end badly for him and us"? I agree with most of the rest.

I like Fury as his fun to watch at times but I don't see him ever being a legit world Champ at best he can claim a strap like Hide Bruno Haye and Povetkin.... He gets up when hit by non punching 210 pound Cunningham and Journeymen but when hit by a real top punching HW his gonna do his best Price impression

Re: Fury vs Cunningham best fight at the weekend
He's entertaining and fair play to him. He's faced unbeaten fighters, still unbeaten. His 'performance' was a step down from recent fights and he should avoid Haye like the plague as if that was Haye who floored him in the second, he would've been jumped all over by genuine power/angles/speedThe 1bangkid wrote:I like Fury as his fun to watch at times but I don't see him ever being a legit world Champ at best he can claim a strap like Hide Bruno and Povetkin.... Fury is gold.
"You ... are.... getting it, you plumber"
Personally i think he's a KO waiting to happen, particularly against the divisions most talented like a K bro or Haye, but i'll be watching. Would love Fury - Price to come off.

I mean as British fans on the world scene backing a donkey who calls out the Klits and monkeys about says he's the best and falls very short. Plus another broadcaster will probably drop boxing after he is sparked and its coming he has no defence other than his chins in the sky.
But honestly if there gonna spend ten pence on each show they would be better off not bothering. I don't say that lightly I think boxing needs a base on terrestrial tv .
Him
I don't know what his deal is but im pretty sure its not gonna be fortunes.
Madison Square garden and similar promotions wont be cheap which means smaller purses all in a delusional bid to become a world champion.
He looks to me to have started believing in himself and his ability which is a dangerous thing to do when your shite.
He is likeable in small doses but as his confidence grows he will get louder and backed with a lack of quality people will turn off him.
