Kessler 4 -1 to win by stoppage

Post by forcefraser »

I might have to have a piece of those odds. Kessler is a hard puncher and Froch`s chin has to give at some point if he keeps taking punches flush.

It would be pleasure to lose my money, as I want Froch to win, but some sneaky feeling keeps shouting Kessler by stoppage.

You can never say never in boxing, but I'd forecast a points decision here.

The more rounds the better in this one, because it shall be fierce all the way.

in the words of fat Ray... 'av a bang on that!!

I think Kessler will stop Froch, with harder, accurate body punching.

Not going to happen because even if Kessler rocks Froch he'll know better than to try and finish him, and there is little chance of Froch being caught cold with something.

If anyone's getting stopped it's Kessler.

I don't think 4/1 is that good odds on stopping someone who is known to be granite tough and has never been stopped. Don't see the value myself.

I still think Froch will win this one by stoppage.

3/1, could be worth a flutter. I'm tempted by Froch winning in rounds 10-12 at 11/1 with Ladbrokes.

Yeah I agree. Whilst Kessler has shown a good chin throughout his career, he's been hurt more times than Froch has and looked more vulnerable. If the Froch that turned up against Bute shows up against Kessler I can see it being very tough for Kessler! I think Froch needs to be more aggressive in this fight than he was in the first fight where he boxed off the back foot a lot! Would you agree with that?

Kessler by stoppage? 400-1 still wouldn't be good value.

Not a chance.

The Froch that turned up against Bute is just the regular Carl Froch. Kessler would've made easy work of that chin aswell. The only relevence in the Bute fight is the potential to give Froch an overconfidence because he managed to do in a few rounds which Andrade done in 12.

I'm going with Kessler on points, because he is a superior fighter than Froch, but hell i'll stick a few quid on Kessler by stoppage for excitement value, although i concede the odds should be longer than 4's.

I've got a feeling Kessler is damaged goods and Froch could go after him and get the stoppage.

I think this fight will be better than fight 1.... people forget the first half of the first fight.

However, I think a stoppage could happen - a do think Froch at home is a better fighter than he is on his travels.... and I think Kessler has slipped further - so a Froch stoppage 8th round for me.

It wouldn't though surprise me if the stoppage went the other way..... Kessler did hurt Froch in fight 1 and whilst his chin is granite and is up there on any P4P best chin list..... it isn't quite in the Wayne McCullough bracket - he's been floored and hurt before.

Kessler's cuts may well come into it, his eyes were a mess against Ward and a bad one against Froch too.

Yeah, I can see something controvesial happening - Cuts stoppage, a "british" stoppage etc.... something to bring Froch vs Kessler 3 into the equation.

Froch only knows how to fight one way and can you really see Kessler going on his bike and boxing off the back foot for 12rnds?

This will be a war!

Urggh? - his career best win was on the back foot against Abraham..... He was also hardly the agressive all out fighter that he domestrated against Bute and Pascal against Dirrell or Taylor.

Good shout. Even though Kessler won last time out, it was very close, and Froch pretty much retired him from the tournament.

I'm looking forward to this more than any fight, ever. A couple of first class hardcases. I can't see it being a stinker in any way shape or form.

It's a proper 50/50, and I think one of them might retire afterwards.

I predict that'll be Kessler. Froch by late stoppage, possibly due to cuts/his face looking a mess.

And then another crack at Ward. In the UK, this time. If this doesn't happen, I'll be blaming George Groves.

I can't remember him been on the back foot against Abraham and trying to use the Dirrell fight as an example is just dildonic!
