No lilly we have something to learn. Fury will knock Wladimir clean out and do you know why he can do it? It's because Wladimir got stopped by Ross Purrity.lillywhite14 wrote:About as relevant as John McDermott beating Fury wouldn't you agree?mickey1975 wrote:I think you will find Carl Thompson stopped him.
Haye gassed against The Cat. Same as when Wlad gassed against Brewster and Puritty.
Furys best chance would be to have Haye working hard, applying pressure, leaning all over him. That's the way he can get a result against Haye.
If they right though my money is on Haye by KO. Fury eats too many shots and Haye punches too hard. Fury don't carry too much power either unfortunately.

Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
This thread is bordering on embarrassing for some.
I like Fury , anyone who wishes to go back through my Fury related posts will see that. I like him for example more than David Price.
Fury has a big heart, decent ish power and is currently a top 10-12 heavweight.
David Haye - is a proven world class performer with world class power which is proven beyond doubt. Fury is massively open to right hands and has been for a long time, his early struggles against Chisora and the knockdowns he has suffered are from right hand shots. His defence is too open and Haye would find his chin within 3 rounds and the fight would be all over.
I can't see how anybody can argue against that.

It depends which Fury shows up. The skilled and disciplined operator who boxed brilliantly against Kevin Johnson or the one we say on Saturday night.Wrists wrote:This thread is bordering on embarrassing for some.

One thing a lot of people fail to realize is that Fury is on the way up, while Haye is on the way down. He is semi-retired and fights once per year. He was blowing against Fury's left overs, Chisora.

Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
You're making a fool of yourself Keith. Fury couldn't box like he did versus Johnson against Cunningham, because Cunningham was fighting back.
You even try spin Fury/Chisora and Haye/Chisora to make it seem like Fury somehow did the better of the two, going 12 hard rounds against a grossly overweight Chisora whilst Haye flattened, sparked, wiped out a much lighter Chisora.
To claim that Chisora was in any way diminished by Tyson Fury is hideously embarrassing. I feel sorry for you trying to find new ways to defend your untenable position.

Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
He had his hands up against Johnson, used lateral movement and concentrated on the job at hand. Against Cunningham he didn't. He was too busy trying to put on a show for the Yanks. But still, he went to the trenches and found a way to win.loaded_gloves wrote:You're making a fool of yourself Keith. You're the one who made a fool of himself. Are you still saying Fury didn't change tactics again Cunningham?
I'm not blind, I saw Haye knock out Chisora, but I also saw Haye breathing heavy, did you?loaded_gloves wrote:You even try spin Fury/Chisora and Haye/Chisora to make it seem like Fury somehow did the better of the two, going 12 hard rounds against a grossly overweight Chisora whilst Haye flattened, sparked, wiped out a much lighter Chisora.

How are we making fools of ourselves in giving our opinion on a fight that's yet to happen?
Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
Because you are using blind faith of a fighter to ignore the obvious.
I was a massive Calzaghe fan for example but can see how he would have NEVER beaten a prime RJJ.
To suggest Fury would beat Haye is bordering on laughable.
However, if I am wrong I shall admit so

It ain't blind faith, I've been rooting for Fury since his pro debut for because he has skills. Fury could beat Haye, but he won't if he fights like he did on Saturday. Fury will have to put in his best performance if he is gonna pull it off.Wrists wrote:Because you are using blind faith of a fighter to ignore the obvious.

If Fury fought Wlad tomorrow, he'd get beat. He'd lose to Vitali and Povetkin also. As I said, it ain't blind faith.
However, this is about Haye (who I am also a massive fan of) and I think Haye looked poor before stopping Delboy. He looked tired.

Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
Haye has not been that impressive as a heavyweight.
Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
Best wins at heavyweight:
Haye - Valuev (arguably lost), Chisora, Ruiz, Harrison & Barrett
Fury - Cunningham, Chisora, Johnson, Pajkic & Rogan
Does Haye's record at heavyweight really suggest Fury would have no chance against him?
Would Haye's best opponents at cruiserweight beat Fury at heavyweight (Mormeck, Maccarinelli & Fragomeni)? I'd pick Fury to beat them all, as well as every other opponent Haye has ever beaten.

Are you smoking something? Arguably lost to valuev, f u c k me there is nothing you can say to that.
Would fury beat mormeck et al? Well of course of bloody would but to use that as some sort of barometer here is again laughable.
Serious question - are you on a wind up?

Plenty of people scored that fight to Valuev. I suppose you think Haye dominated the fight.Wrists wrote:Are you smoking something? Arguably lost to valuev, f u c k me there is nothing you can say to that.
Haye's impressive resume at cruiserweight means very little if Fury would beat them all as well. What is this Fury has no chance against Haye stuff really based on?Wrists wrote:Would fury beat mormeck et al? Haye is only a few places higher in the heavyweight rankings than Fury is. At heavyweight they are at about the same level: Top world title contenders.

Show me any stage of the Valuev fight that Haye controlled, except from that ONE punch. Haye was absolutely terrible that night. Serious question - are you on a wind up?Wrists wrote:Are you smoking something? Arguably lost to valuev, f u c k me there is nothing you can say to that.

Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
No, the World title win was good, the performance against Wlad however was almost Audley like. I, like some well respected members of this board who I spoke to in person over there, was disgusted at the total lack of effort, fire, passion, you name it in that "performance". Haye lost a lot of public support that night, and knocking out Fury and Vitali's leftovers and a spell in the jungle has not got it back for me.jameswilson wrote:So to be clear we love Tyson Fury for getting off the floor to beat the might of Steve Cunningham but getting off the floor to win a World title is the act of scum?mickey1975 wrote:Yes, I remember mormeck flooring him and I was there when he ran like a bitch from Wlad. Im not trying to make a case for Valuev, I would have it more as a De Leon-Nelson style draw.Finn wrote:mickey1975 wrote:Show me any stage of the Valuev fight that Haye controlled, except from that ONE punch. Serious question - are you on a wind up?How many punches did valuev land in that fight? now explain how haye didnt win.
Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
It was never a draw haye threw and landed about 3 punches each round apart from the 12 which he landed a fair few, valuev threw about 3 punches each round and was lucky to land about 1. There was only going to be one winner unless home town scoring reared its head.mickey1975 wrote:Im not trying to make a case for Valuev, I would have it more as a De Leon-Nelson style draw.Finn wrote:How many punches did valuev land in that fight? now explain how haye didnt win.

Re: TYSON FURY Spoiler
Fury is a fun fighter to watch due to his big heart and willingness to fight and who would no doubt give his best against David Haye but if Fury fought like he did last Saturday against Haye he would get ironed out. He was sloppy, plenty of openings, he would get nailed.
Against Valuev, Haye broke his hand against his head and still seriously wobbled him in the last.
Against Fury he would not be shy from going for the kill as we've seen him down a few times before.
Steve Cunningham who does not have a concussive punch a career CW seriously hurt Fury.
Fury went 12 against a under prepared (he looked it) Chisora, Haye knocked him out in 5 rounds.
It's a good fight and I hope they make it.

Haye 'claimed' he broke his hand early on. But I suspect that might just be b*llshit, to appease fans for having just adopted a dull, safety first performance.Final round wrote:Against Valuev, Haye broke his hand against his head and still seriously wobbled him in the last.

He clearly stopped using it as much, whether he bust it or not? that's what was said at time.. Anyway Tyson has not got a Valuev sized domeBenelio wrote:Haye 'claimed' he broke his hand early on. Cunningham: 210 lbs, 6' 3", 82" reach
Haye: 210 lbs, 6' 3", 78" reach
If Cunningham was too small for Fury then what is Haye?
