Top 15 Greatest Heavyweights of All-Time

Post by AndreWardFan2006 »

There's nothing I love more then comparing the old best of the best fighters from Jack Johnson and Jack Dempsey to the current best of the best fighters such as the Klitschko brothers. I have collages created for the main 8 weight divisions. If someone fought as a Junior-Welterweight, I considered them simply in the Welterweight division. 15 pictures with there records above each of them. Pretty cool looking I must say, and I put many, many hours into creating them. I'm pretty positive that they all are very good collages, but I would love to hear the experts from these forums tell me who you think is the best. You are probably tired of getting these "Pound for Pound" forums everyday, but i'd appreciate the opinions. Now in each of my collages I put names where they belong. For example, I placed Whitaker in the Lightweight division because that is where he peaked. No doubt about it. So i am pretty intense on these. So let's here your Top 15 Heavyweights Of All-Time!

Andre

why do you rate Liston below Patterson when he crushed him twice in two of the most one-sided fights in history.

I also think that you overrate Norton and Tyson. I'd put Holmes and Johnson higher, Marciano too.

Your collage sounds great...

I actually put Tunney at the Light-Heavyweight division, i wasn't too sure with him i guess, and Holyfield is just destroying his career by fighting still and not going anywhere. Holyfield now is just the perfect window for any fighter who isnt known yet to whoop his ass and get a name for himself.

i think u have to do it based on all time greatness with a little head to head. if u rank it based on soely head to head, it becomes messed up and confusing because of styles and it just doesnt work out succesfully.

i think a mixture of both or all itme greatness is the best way to go

one thing i noticed sherlock is u recently moved jeffries ahead of marciano, now i am wondering why. if u think jeffries would win a head to head matchup and thats ur reason, then fine i respect ur opinion even though i disagree. but if u rank jeffries ahead of marciano based on all time greatness, to tell u the truth u have no case.

Actually, either man can be 9 and the other ten. I feel that despite only 20 odd fights, Jeffries equals Marciano in achievements. Jeffries beat hall of famers Corbett twice, Fitzsimmons, and tough Tom Sharkey twice. Marciano beat Charles, Walcott, both twice, and Archie Moore. Both cleaned out their era. And both beat a pound for pound great fighter, Jackson and Louis, though both were past their best and doesn't figure into their rankings. On achievements, they're equal in my eyes, and I give Jeffries a little edge in opposition and I do favor him in a matchup with Marciano
