You had no amateur experience and, as I recall, you obtained a 'licence' through the post just by filling in a form and sending it in with some dollars.
You are as much a pro boxer as Charlie Zelenoff is.
But weirder.

Real balls would be if, after that, he actually trained and then had a real fight with a similarly experienced opponent.
PS he gets off on guys like you equating what he did with some sort of bravery, Lefty.

No, but that doesn't mean I can't tell the difference between stupidity and bravery.Finn wrote:been a pro boxer yourself then?Giancarlo wrote:Match? Please.HomicideHenry wrote: I didn't make excuses in the aftermath of my match either.

He will be pleased you believe in him though, Finn. He loves people, no matter how simple, sharing his fantasy of being a pro boxer.

Hey im not saying he was right in his approach with Cunningham or anything like that. I was just saying though that quite often one of the things that gets thrown out by pro boxers if they get criticised is the old " You've never fought a day in your life! What the fornicate do you know, blah, blah, blah" Atleast in his case he actually does know what its like to of fought a professional fight and actually he probably has a even better understanding of the toughness of professional boxing having had his ass handed to him!
.......Again though he should of spoke to Steve a bit first before criticising him straight off the bat. Doing it straight away just rubs people the wrong way like it has on here.

I thought you meant getting his head caved in by a professional boxer took balls.columbo wrote: Hey im not saying he was right in his approach with Cunningham or anything like that. You mean insulting Cunningham over the phone took balls?
Er, righto.

"Like I said before, I came from a wrestling background and that translates to mma better than boxing does translate to mma. As good a puncher as Mr. Love is, being now 14-0-0 (8), I have no doubt that if it were an mma contest he would have hit canvas in take downs. I actually plan on doing an mma exhibition w/ 10-0-0 Thomas LaManna to demonstrate this in the near future."
How is "He only won because it wasn't an MMA contest" any less an excuse than "He only won because he's bigger"?

Re: Steve USS Cunningham Interview
I see where u are going with that however I never complained the man had 130 matches to my 0 (in boxing) or the fact I fought at 154 poinds naturally and he was 195. Experience, size, or even the fact that a govrrning body even allowed the match to happen I never once complained. It is what it is.
Jleon Love will be a guest on my show tonight. To talk about his upcoming match with Rosado. Fridays are always my own personal shows. Expect some interesting things tonight.

Re: Steve USS Cunningham Interview
Cunningham is massively mugging himself off complaining about size difference! Don't fight at heavy simple as!
If your good enough your big enough!!
Did Tyson or Holyfield ever complain or even James toney!
Cunningham can't in fight & he was exposed. He got sent to the ropes hurt & got chinned.
I enjoyed the fight but I'm concerned fury dont have strong enough legs to stand up to heavyweight power

This - although im not to concerned about Fury's chin he never seems hurt from it, he just appears to be put on his arse quite easily which to be fair is going to make his fights exciting.hurlock wrote:Cunningham is massively mugging himself off complaining about size difference! Re: Steve USS Cunningham Interview
His fights are exciting & he has a very high output for a heavy. I mean the lads bottle & grit is greatly undermired IMO. He gets of the floor & takes the fight to his opponent & that is a sighn of a great fighter, many fighters once dropped leave there confidence on the canvas onceFinn wrote:This - although im not to concerned about Fury's chin he never seems hurt from it, he just appears to be put on his arse quite easily which to be fair is going to make his fights exciting.hurlock wrote:Cunningham is massively mugging himself off complaining about size difference! Re: Steve USS Cunningham Interview
He doesn't seem badly hurt but he's been dropped by fighters without power. I'd have more confidence in his chin if he recovered well against heavyweights with at least average power.Finn wrote:This - although im not to concerned about Fury's chin he never seems hurt from it, he just appears to be put on his arse quite easily which to be fair is going to make his fights exciting.hurlock wrote:Cunningham is massively mugging himself off complaining about size difference!
