Bet ITV don't show Takaloo-Magee
Unless the main events end quickly (and I can envisage Audley-Danny plodding the full 12) what chance have we got of seeing much, if any of the Magee fight.
Be a pisser if they sideline it in favour of 10 minutes of Barry Mac talking up Amir and a cliche-addled feature on Matt Skelton with some tawdry 'he's the dark horse of the heavyweights' angle.

That's why it is better when Boxing is on SKY, they seem to value and appreciate a good matchup when they see one and i think would make the effort to show a decent portion of a good fight like this. As you say it seems ITV seem intent on catering for the casual viewer more with their flashy visuals and endless "features". We don't want to see Gabriel Clarke spending a day in the life of Matt Skelton, let's see some action.

Very true trouble its hard to see itv giving up more than a couple of hours max unless they put some of the card on itv2. The fact is we will be lucky to see any of magee takaloo (by far the best fight on the card) and will have to make do with an hour long feature with khan and mcguigan playing tiddlywinks followed by the worst main event in the history of boxing in mcbride vs skelton. Danny vs audley should be good though again coverage of that fight may suffer also.
I really hope itv get it right and justify the fuss that has been made about getting boxing back on tererstial tv.

Good points. Also with it being a big celebration for Frank expect a few former stars at ringside like Benn, Bruno etc that will probably be another 15mins of interviews.achybreaky wrote:steve689 wrote:That's why it is better when Boxing is on SKY, they seem to value and appreciate a good matchup when they see one and i think would make the effort to show a decent portion of a good fight like this. True its a bit mad that frank will get such a big hurrah for making an absolute fortune for himself off the sweat of other men for 25 years. Three cheers for the millionaire hip hip.My T Sharp wrote:Good points.
