Naz leaves police station with bag over head

Post by johnswan1 »

FORMER boxing champion "Prince" Naseem Hamed spent almost three hours yesterday with South Yorkshire Police as part of an investigation into a serious road crash earlier this year.

The former world featherweight boxing champion arrived at Moss Way police station, Rotherham, nearly half an hour late at 2.30pm yesterday to answer police bail.

He left the station with a bag over his head just before 5pm having been bailed once again to return to the police station at a later date.

The 31-year-old was arrested in May, along with two 26-year-old men, on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and attempting to pervert the course of justice after a head-on collision between a McLaren-Mercedes sports car and a Volkswagen Golf on Ringinglow Road on the outskirts of Sheffield.
A third car, a Ford Mondeo, was also involved.

The 38-year-old driver of the Golf was trapped in his car for more than an hour and sustained serious leg and arm injuries following the crash at 2.30pm on Monday May 2.

The injured man's female passenger, aged 36, sustained cuts and bruises.
Father-of-two Mr Hamed, of Ringinglow Road, left the police station last night with solicitor Stephen Smith.

A police spokesman told the Yorkshire Post: "A 31-year-old man has been re-bailed pending further inquiries."

Maybe he'll fight again....well it'll have to be middleweight since he weighs about 160, jk. I hope he comes back and gets his face pounded in. However, I feear the only fight he would take would be a hometown crowd fight vs a bum for some good cash.
