Amir can box rings round most peole woth his speed and fotwork, but he cjhoses to fight and give value for money.
We should applaud him! When was the last time you saw a boring Khan fight?
Me rest me case!
can he box though? He seems to lack boxing IQ for me hence why he always walks into big shocks. I think his speed and footwork has given him the ability to get away with a lot of the errors he makes. He's still a very good fighter though.Ratchet Exits Nu wrote:Listen!

fornicate off! If you dont like Khan you're a racist innit! ;;-)TJ77 wrote:In defence of Amir the reason he is not liked in some quarters has NOTHING to do with his style.
More to do with the distain he has shown his fans.Ie serving up shite and charging a fortune.

He has no class according to him Brook is not worthy of his attention .
So why is he in Sheffield telling any pudendum who'll listen how much better than Kell his doing?
He is doing this to prove he is worth the lion share of any purse between him and Brook.
You wanna pay 75 notes to help Khans propaganda more fool you.

Khan is a star and can put bums on seats imo.
Let you know next week what the atmosphere's like.
It's called fighting spirit. Remember that? Yeah, in the world if boxing, Amir Khan really stands out as a quite despicable figure.TJ77 wrote:In defence of Amir the reason he is not liked in some quarters has NOTHING to do with his style.

Yes he's a horrible little runt, won that silver medal at 17 shocking, bashed up poor Kindelan on that contrived show on ITV don't you know, didn't fight Sid Razak, unforgiveable.Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:Yeah, in the world if boxing, Amir Khan really stands out as a quite despicable figure.TJ77 wrote:In defence of Amir the reason he is not liked in some quarters has NOTHING to do with his style.

Worse than any of the convicted murderers, rapists, muggers and other violent criminals that are involved in the sport.

I thought Molina and Koletnik were very entertaining, one sided - but showed Khans skillset beautifully. McCloskey isn't a very exciting fighter 'cheated not defeated' my arse.Adamj1987 wrote:Carlos molinaRatchet Exits Nu wrote:Listen!

Its his personality though that gets him haters. He constantly refers to himself in the third person *not that he's the first that has done that* and he's just very arrogant a lot of the time when you see him in interviews, etc.polecateddy wrote:There was a good article about Amir in this weeks Boxing News. Well possibly that's part of it, but not the whole picture. There's almost certainly a racist angle to it, to deny that is nonsense. I just think its a real shame, because at the end of the day he loves his boxing and always gives 100%. He's one of the UK's few elite boxers, and shouldn't have to put up with the level of negativity he does.columbo wrote:Its his personality though that gets him haters. I don't believe it has anything to do with racism at all, nearly the whole country came to a standstill for his Olympic final and his ITV fights were getting millions of viewers. Sure there is a very small contingent of racists but aren't they active in every sport and not specific to what race they are against, and it never hurt the likes of Bruno, for example, or Hamed who may be a better example.polecateddy wrote:Well possibly that's part of it, but not the whole picture. But that racist element has always existed, it's just easier for them to connect with their targets now using those mediums, so those idiots would never be, or were never fans.polecateddy wrote:The guy has to put up with a lot of fascist taunts through twitter and forums not unlike this one.

In the ring, I like to see Khan fight. He's got tremendous heart/balls and, unfortunately for him but luckily for us, a lack of tactical nous that results in him getting involved in tear ups for more often than he should. What's not to like about that?
Outside the ring, he spouts utter shite, constantly low balls potentiallly good opponents and cherry picks more often than not. The Maidana fight only happened when he was threatened with getting stripped of his title after he'd been chased for a year plus, the Peterson and Garcia fights were supposed to be easy touches.
