This Fraudly love is making me sick!!
Ok ok ive changed my opinion on him since turning pro, only in the aence that he seems like a decent guy compared to the unlikeable schmuck that he was. However......
He is the same boxer, he has the same faults and again he is fooling you all into believeing that he can actually beat a ranked heavyweight
Prizefighter is glorified amateur boxing, at which Harrison is a Olympic champion he is obviously going to beat J.Bloggs who has a 5 fight pro record, works at the local butchers and had 5 amateur fights!! The truth is the first shot that connects will turn him back to the pussy cat we all know he is or worse it will pole axe him the way Price did.
A-Force, Redemption, YES HE CAN
Good tag lines but the truth is he has little to no chance and i sont know what im more annoyed at the fact that he is coming out with it or the fact there is all this love for him!!
Il be lumping on heavily on him getting beat and i advise all to do the same
If he wins il leave the forum as i obviously know nothing about boxing

Haha! You make a fair point. We probably are being sucked in by his salesman talk but he did look better in prizefighter than he has for awhile. Like you said though that is against poorer opposition though.

Another Audley thread... Imagine how many will turn up after tonight's fight

It's a standard for every main event that a British boxer is involved with. Last week for Tyson Fury it wasn't enough for people to just post in the threads that were already there they had to make a new thread to put their point across.Kilburn wrote:Another Audley thread... What makes 'Wilder' a ranked fighter?
For all we know, he is one of these joe bloggs you think Audley can beat who's got to where he is based upon nothing but size & 1-shot power.

I do find it surprising how excited people are by this idea that Audley's is poised to cause an upset. If Audley doesn't end up fighting timid and being stopped in around 3 rounds, now that would be surprising! Lol
Re: This Fraudly love is making me sick!!
People are enthusiastic about an Audley Harrison fight. Is that bad?
How do we benefit from being more cynical?

i know but Audley is such a nice guy and a good salesman that you want to believe him. This is surely his last chance though. Ironically he willl probably be very successful outside of boxing where a brain and an engaing manner should take him far.polecateddy wrote:I do find it surprising how excited people are by this idea that Audley's is poised to cause an upset. Is it cynical or is it realistic based on his performance against David Price. It seems a little daft to be getting excited about him upsetting the number one American up and coming heavy.Horse wrote:People are enthusiastic about an Audley Harrison fight. Is that bad?

To be honest, it could well be the last time we give Audley a chance at winning anything other than a b-rate Prizefighter tournament.
If he does get KO'd, he might just retire tonight. So let's just enjoy the hype!
Yes he can!

Tiny bit delusional. Like when Peter McNeeley got to be Mike Tyson's first opponent out of clink :)The Dark Destroyer wrote:No one is getting sucked in, we all know the most likely outcome tonight but we can hope he wins and support him. What's wrong with that?

Anyone know the running order for tonight yet?
And don't say - Deontay Wilder Vs Audley Harrison 9.30pm, Amir Khan Vs Julio Diaz 9.38pm.

I am not getting sucked into either as I merely see tonights match up between Harrison and Wilder as a crossroads match up between a veteran trying to get another crack at a European (or even a World titlle) fighting a young lion who has a glossy knockout record but has questions circulating around him regarding his chin and stamina who the Americans regard as their "next heavyweight hope" after seeing Seth Mitchell getting derailed by Johnathon Banks.
Re: This Fraudly love is making me sick!!
While Wilder had been relatively untested, he comes in with a 100% KO record. Will have big confidence, and with Audley's fragile mentality this is a no brainer. Expect an early flurry of shots and A-Farce to down tools and roll over. YES HE WILL!

Re: This Fraudly love is making me sick!!
Nah, Wilder could be a proper contender eventually. Tall, rangey, athletic, with power and a proper amateur background ...not just a quick one after a football injury/sports change. I think Wilder's will look pretty dynamic tomorrow.IRLangmaid25 wrote:I am not getting sucked into either as I merely see tonights match up between Harrison and Wilder as a crossroads match up between a veteran trying to get another crack at a European (or even a World titlle) fighting a young lion who has a glossy knockout record but has questions circulating around him regarding his chin and stamina who the Americans regard as their "next heavyweight hope" after seeing Seth Mitchell getting derailed by Johnathon Banks.

Re: This Fraudly love is making me sick!!
Maybe he will in the Post Klitshcko era and he has been getting topline sparring from them and with David Haye but tonight is without doubt his biggest, but a loss in the long run might not be too damaging because in heavyweight terms as he is still quite young at 26 and fair way away from his peak.polecateddy wrote:Nah, Wilder could be a proper contender eventually. Re: This Fraudly love is making me sick!!
Apparantly Wladimir dropped Wilder in sparring. Not sure if thats true or not but thats what I heard. Wladimir also said Wilder was the fastest, most powerful guy he's ever been in the ring with though. Thats a pretty special endorsement there. I think Harrison has a chance because Wilder is still pretty raw technique wise and I think he rushes things in the ring somewhat but he can seriously punch! Possibly a bigger puncher than David Price so he's a serious danger.IRLangmaid25 wrote:Maybe he will in the Post Klitshcko era and he has been getting topline sparring from them and with David Haye but tonight is without doubt his biggest, but a loss in the long run might not be too damaging because in heavyweight terms as he is still quite young at 26 and fair way away from his peak.polecateddy wrote:Nah, Wilder could be a proper contender eventually. I thought a lot of the support was more tongue in cheek than anything else. I could be wrong though.
