Brother Naz and the post fight fall out

I guess everyone has seen this. I like Cunningham and respect Nazeem Richardson but this post fight press conference irritated me. Fury acted the douche to sell the fight and afterwards gives credit. Richardson gives no credit at all, despite saying he "respects" Fury because, if he got knocked over by a little man he would "panic" and take it to the streets as well. Then he's going on about how he was surprised that Tyson had to resort to that. Amazing Tyson took what is essentially an extremely patronizing backhanded compliment with good grace. Unsurprisingly, the Fury's and other assorted traveler hangers on take umbrage and Cunningham's entourage start getting uppity too. This may be OK if you were dealing with the average UK honky entourage but this is Irish/English travelers and I'd have been interested to see what would've happened if the two sides had clashed. I think a few there would be a few more sore losers on the Cunningham team.

One poster did mention a clash after the fight, but I haven't heard much about it.

Cunninghams team showed themselves to be a bunch of cry babies and wannabe hard men. Trying to tell a crew of gypsies they better watch themselves or they wont make it to the airport, they are lucky they didnt get turned over there and then. I've gained even more respect for fury watching him sit there and listening to that complaining and bitching and act the better man whilst he was being mouthed off at by one of Cunninghams entourage.

Interesting to see that it appeared to be the US fans giving Cunningham and his team verbals (by the sound of the accents).

Agreed mate , most of what Fury says or does especially before a fight is tongue and cheek,unless provoked i have never seen him disrespect anyone after a fight, as you said he sat there and showed respect ,even did after team Cunningham made out they could take it there ...yeh right...good luck with that

Agreed theres a difference between stirring it up for a fight and being malicious. Fury's a hot head for sure but most of what he says is clearly tongue in cheek or sounding off, i've not seen him do anything to make me think he is a thug, fighting man obviously its in his blood and way of life buts he shows respect after a fight and i remember one of his first fights he hammered someone to the body, the guy was clearly hurt and about to go so Fury pulled his last shot because the ref hadnt stepped in instead of sparking a defenceless man out imo if he was a nasty piece of work he would have landed that shot.

He's a character and thats what boxing needs, but those characters need to show decorum and remember they are supposed to be role models and he's doing that. Cunningham did the whole i'll do the talking in the ring speech before the fight then lost and gave no credit after the fight and has done nothing by bitch and moan about tyson being a giant, then he starts making threats - i dont want to see guys like that succeed. Sore losers who didnt get their own way spitting their dummy out - have some dignity.
