In his biggest test to date, unbeaten 6’5 heavyweight Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne (16-0, 14 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over 44-year-old former multi-division world champion James Toney (74-8-3, 45 KOs) on Sunday afternoon at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Browne was the busier of the two with his long jab, mosting avoiding exchanges with the rotund Toney. Toney looked done in the final round, but Browne was content to coast to a 117-111, 119-109, 120-108 victory.

Former world heavyweight title challenger Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (29-3-1, 19 KOs) outclassed Solomon Haumono (20-2-2, 18 KOs), schooling him before stopping him in round ten.

I remember that fight was nearly made years ago at cruiser. Pundits were making Toney the favourite, but in retrospect I'm sure Hopkins would have come through.

No chance they let that happen. This will be another Shame Cameron project. Anything resembling a prime fighter will be avoided until a big payday and inevitable savage knockout defeat is suffered. Manufacturing a 'big' domestic showdown with Sonny Bill Williams could be another Australian 'super-fight' where the fighters get fortunes to contest the international cycling heavyweight championship of the world and the Ozzie public think they're watching something great an important. Danny Green can fight Chris Pyatt or John Mugabi on the undercard!!!

i think fury beats johnson most times, but johnson only had 2 weeks prep for that fight.

He said before the fight, that he was in great shape. As usually Toney talks complete bollocks. He'll go on calling out Dave Gay and the Bitchkos and end up losing more fights to obscure prospects from around the world.
