I'v got a feeling it will go to purse bids and whoever loses the purse bid will pull out of the fight.

Surely the Fury camp wont risk it all taking this fight?
Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
I think they will. You really don't want to go into a K2 negotiation without a mandatory spotpolecateddy wrote:Surely the Fury camp wont risk it all taking this fight?

Furys seems to be a guy who will fight anyone anywhere due to his believe that he can beat them all. I can defo see him fight pulev in his back yard and imo take him out

if the fight does not happen..it will not be fury's fault
fury is not afraid of anyone
fury is not afraid of anyone
Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
Fury vacated the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles after they refused to go into purse bids with Frank Maloney for a David Price fight in 2012.rio wrote:Furys seems to be a guy who will fight anyone anywhere due to his believe that he can beat them all. Then in 2013. Fury's team yet again pulled out of purse bids against David Price for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles.
So to say, "guy who will fight anyone" is not strictly true.

Oh yeah ...because big tyson would be the type to be scared wouldnt he
Indecently Fury told everyone that Price would get KOed before they fought as he knew Prices jaw was mad of chocolate
Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
I think fury is fighting better opponents than most of the rest of the top ten heavies to be honest so i think he will take this one. There was nothing to gain ranking wise frim the price fight whereas this is what he needs to get a mandatory and therefore decent pay day against Klitschko. Also so what if he loses he's young and can come back after all there aren't many undefeated boxers out there.
Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
he already rejected a david haye fight, saying he going down the pulev route.
if he rejects pulev then that sums up boxing
does anyone blame wladimir for fighting wachs and pianetas when others have no testicles to have big fights

He is not going to reject Pulev, he is aiming for Pulev and has stated that all along.dammage7 wrote:he already rejected a david haye fight, saying he going down the pulev route.

Generally speaking, a challenge against Wladimir gives him a pay day of circa £3m+ and it will be a big fight comercially and will also be for all the marbles.
If he loses and is not disgraced, where does that leave Tyson Fury?
Well for one, he will be a millionaire and in no less standing than David Haye was in defeat.
Haye vs Fury would still be a big fight and would make him a couple more million again.
And yet people say he was stupid/chicken for turning down a couple of hundred grand for David Price? sorry that's nonsense really. And I state that I am a big fan of both Price and Fury. Price is a gentleman and Fury is pure entertainment.

Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
How do get Fury making £3 million? If they go by the same purse split that Povetkin is getting - 75:25 that would mean a purse bid of £12 million - at today's date that's $18,720,00 - not much short of the Povetkin bid. I know Fury is getting a bigger name, but surley not that big? Other than Haye I've never seen anyone get more than £1m against Wlad. Solis got £1.3 million against Vitali and again that was the exception.G0mez wrote:He is not going to reject Pulev, he is aiming for Pulev and has stated that all along.dammage7 wrote:he already rejected a david haye fight, saying he going down the pulev route.

I think Haye Vs Fury would be the biggest earner for Fury.
Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
if he steps up to pulev , i'll be suprised.
if he wins and becomes 1bf mandotory, he will pass in on and change sanctioning body, going to maybe wbc and fighting haye (which i doubt) or some other has been
end of day, tyson not stupid, kids young, he can chill and face overmatched short fighters for next 4 years.
there is no way we will see him in ring with wladimir or haye in near future.

Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
obviously both are going to want home advantage and i hope this doesn't stop the fight from happening, as a world title fight is at stake.
look outside the "bidness" angle for a minute.
pulev has stopped two massive opponents close to fury's size and weight. he's a quite athletic, strong and has decent skills. a fight with fury's an elim to face the champ, so why not?
fury meanwhile has been fighting relatively tiny opponents and getting hurt, winning in exciting fashion. fury will be fighting someone who is accustomed to taking on towering opponents. someone bigger than the usual fury sacrificial lamb.

Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
I don't see Tyson winning this. Pulev does everything well and has beaten two very big legitimate heavyweight contenders. Fury doesn't really do anything well and got decked by Steve Cunningham. As I've stated elsewhere, if Fury wins, I absolutely promise to revise my opinion of his potential.

I don't believe for a second Fury will go through with this. Something will happen, as usual, and he'll be out of the fight and taking on a handpicked opponent while giving it the big talk.
If Fury does fight Pulev I will eat my words and never question his integrity ever again.
If Fury does the impossible and beats Pulev, I will eat a caravan.

Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
This is a risky fight for Fury. He might as well fight Haye…just as risky but more money on the table…I would guess more money, I’m no expert on these things.
Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
If Pulev does dominate Fury as easily as he did Dimitrenko and Ustinov, then It's a choice of being jabbed to death for 8+ rounds or alternatively being jumped on with big overhand rights by Haye.Ezzard wrote:This is a risky fight for Fury. Probably preferable to be KOed by Haye. Less drawn out punishment.

I think they will fight but your caravan is safe as Fury will be knocked out .loaded_gloves wrote:I don't believe for a second Fury will go through with this. Something will happen, as usual, and he'll be out of the fight and taking on a handpicked opponent while giving it the big talk.

I think it's easier for him. Dimitrenko is a far better boxer than Fury, even if he's no fighter.Benelio wrote:If Pulev does dominate Fury as easily as he did Dimitrenko and Ustinov, then It's a choice of being jabbed to death for 8+ rounds or alternatively being jumped on with big overhand rights by Haye.Ezzard wrote:This is a risky fight for Fury. Re: TYSON FURY VS KUBRAT PULEV NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR IBF ELIMI?
I dont think Fury is bothered about fighting anyone his team are just steering him on a career route which is a very good one, they stated they were going for cunningham then pulev or povetkin some time ago, povetkin is up against wlad so that leaves pulev who they are targeting, if it falls through he will probably want to fight haye. I dont think he's done anything in his career to say he is ducking someone, he moved in a different direction from price to fight johnson and then cunningham. If he vacated his titles then just fought 3 bums in a row i could understand peoples criticism, cunningham by the looks of it may well have beaten price. Also originally everyone wanted him to fight chisora and he did that, then they wanted him to face price, how long is he supposed to stick around fighting at domestic level. I hop price does a number on thompson in the rematch after having his chin tested, that owuld be the best thing all round.G0mez wrote:He is not going to reject Pulev, he is aiming for Pulev and has stated that all along.dammage7 wrote:he already rejected a david haye fight, saying he going down the pulev route.

Another point to make is people had haye as the favourite to beat pulev when a possible match was mentioned, pulev v fury is considered 50/50. And price isnt yet fighting at that level. I would favour chisora to beat price myself.

Pulev is made to measure for Fury. It's gonna be an easy night for Fury. Can't wait.
