May 11th Glasgow Undercard

Post by geoffburt07 »

Anyone know the full line up fir the bill.
I know simmy and Choi are boxing for international title and Stephen Simmon is boxing Micheal Sweeny for Celtic Belt. Does anyone know who's all on the bill and the away boxers? I heard David Brophy is boxing Gary Boulden but not 100% on that one. Roberts, Slowey and Feilding are confirmed but no opponent yet.

is a lot known about Gonzalez? 17KOs from 22 wins, no defeats. Is he what Nigel Benn might have once described as another Gomez/Lopez/Sanchez?
I have a friend up there but as an Englishman I don't know how altogether safe I'd feel, bearing in mind this is Boxing, in Glasgow.

the first part no, the second part I thought was a given - hey I've seen Braveheart I don't blame them for any of it lol.
Seriously though my friend is a Glaswegian who's just gone back to live there after being in England 30 years so that would be handy.
Went to a toilet in Clydebank sports centre once some Scots gadge was getting a kicking by a bunch of thugs.......no way was I going in there on my own. I was an away fan too but this guy was a Scot. They wouldn't have liked me at all. My mate entered the arena and then boxed to a chorus of "slot the English bastard". :o

That Choi - Simpson match up slipped under the radar (mine anyway)! That will be a belter of a fight.

Anno mate, got excitement all over it. John is looking tidy at SuperFeather but Choi is a all action guy. Good 50/50 fight.

Only reason John Simpson is fightin choi is because he s past it and 41 years old no feather or super feather would give him a chance few years ago but great fight as it stands now the old dog might have somethink left

Simpson will fight anyone, same as Choi he's proved that throughout his career. He's not hung around waiting for Choi to get old before challenging him. There was a mooted bout a few years back possibly for the British title but Choi didn't have citizenship.

The fight was offered to team choi a few years back and they said NO!
look at it from a promoters point of view he sells little tickets can't fight for any domestic titles what does he bring to the table.
