Re: Best Heavyweight in the UK Today
RE Hughie Fury, I'd assume the relocation is in part due to Peter being allowed in there but also GYM having a contract with Wealth TV and the scene over there. Also could be easier than over here for him to get "low profile" fights to build his record and experience with out the British media taking every chance to land a shot
Re: Best Heavyweight in the UK Today
While I believe Haye to be the best I genuinely believe David Price is a close 2nd and is still way better than anyone else in this poll. I must say I'm gob smacked that people think Fury is better. Price got caught with a freak shot that put him off balance last time round.

And I am gobsmacked the Price faithful are still in denial about his chin despite the overwhelming evidence against it.TopGun wrote:While I believe Haye to be the best I genuinely believe David Price is a close 2nd and is still way better than anyone else in this poll. I never understand when people used words like 'freak shot' when it comes to boxing, Thompson through a punch he intended to land, it did, Price went over. Nothing 'freak' about that, just a clean shot that did the job, whether it was behind the ear or not.mickey1975 wrote:And I am gobsmacked the Price faithful are still in denial about his chin despite the overwhelming evidence against it.TopGun wrote:While I believe Haye to be the best I genuinely believe David Price is a close 2nd and is still way better than anyone else in this poll. Does Dillian Whyte post on here? Or his mum? Or did someone just put that in by mistake? Why was he on the poll?

What evidence? You talk as if he has been down as many times as Khan or David Haye. Once down in his pro career. You cannot go down the amatuer route otherwise we can bring Audley into the equation.

I hear you. What was freaky is the exact place that he got caught. It was not a big shot just in a place that messed his equlibirium up. Thompson will get smashed in the 2nd fight. You know it!

I do think Price wins the rematch - just don't believe in 'freak' punches.TopGun wrote: I hear you. What was freaky is the exact place that he got caught. It was not a big shot just in a place that messed his equlibirium up. Thompson will get smashed in the 2nd fight. You know it!

You can go down the amateur route. Audley only got his chin "exposed" ( to be fair to Aud he got stopped by some bombs ) in the pro ranks. Pricey had question marks over his chin whilst in the ams. It don't become easier to take full blooded shots with the head guard off and smaller gloves!TopGun wrote:mickey1975 wrote:And I am gobsmacked the Price faithful are still in denial about his chin despite the overwhelming evidence against it.TopGun wrote:While I believe Haye to be the best I genuinely believe David Price is a close 2nd and is still way better than anyone else in this poll. Haye was down against Lock. Got up to win.
Punched himself out against Thompson.
Down against Mormeck. Got up to win.
Down against Barrett. Got up and battered him.
Haye took at least three big shots off Wlad, who is a very big puncher yet didnt collapse like a few thought he would.

Unfortunately for Price, that's anywhere above shoulder level.TopGun wrote: I hear you. What was freaky is the exact place that he got caught. It was not a big shot just in a place that messed his equlibirium up. Thompson will get smashed in the 2nd fight. You know it!

He will do remarkably well to emulate Khan or Haye, even Audley if your bringing him into it. Of course you cant discount the fact he was down many times as an amateur! He even looked uncomfortable, for a fraction of a second, when Dave Ingleby stuck one on him!TopGun wrote:mickey1975 wrote:And I am gobsmacked the Price faithful are still in denial about his chin despite the overwhelming evidence against it.TopGun wrote:While I believe Haye to be the best I genuinely believe David Price is a close 2nd and is still way better than anyone else in this poll. Haye's the easy pick, but I've gone for Pricey. He's got his vulnerabilities, but when you can bang like he does!!!!

David Price will be world champ. Booom! All those who disagree, I will track you down and make sure you put up a public apology in a new thread where you can admit that my boxing knowledge is by far greater than yours and the fact I can spot a world champ means I really am a superior human being.
I'm not even from Liverpool either.

By world champ, do you mean bonfide world champ or merely a titlist?TopGun wrote:David Price will be world champ. Booom! Okay, a titlist. It's more likely than world champ but unless he gets a series of vacant belts to fight for a la Cleverly, I can't see it ever happening.TopGun wrote:jtourettes wrote:By world champ, do you mean bonfide world champ or merely a titlist?TopGun wrote:David Price will be world champ. Re: Best Heavyweight in the UK Today
Easy enough decision. Haye is the best and would stop Fury in the early rounds if they fought. He has also won the world title before unlike any of those on the list.

Re: Best Heavyweight in the UK Today
Haye was wank against Wladamir.
Price is chinny.(though talented)
Fury is shit.
Chisora has been beaten by two out of the three above.
We still have no heavyweights worth getting excited about .
Last year when we didnt know what we do know a small buzz was building.
Its fizzled back out we are as wank at heavyweight boxing as the rest of the world.
These jokers are taking attention away from fighters who are credible world class contenders.
Murrays heroics barely get noticed while Haye chasing a klitscho is all over ....Newsflash you caught him he beat ya.
Boxing wont recover its greatness while limited gas bags hype up and dissapoint the viewing public.
Be better for boxing if with the exception of Price unless he loses to Thompson follwed Audleys lead and did one.

Always a question worth asking! He looks powerful but he hasn't stopped anyone who hasn't been done before ( Dallas being the exception )
