Great match if it happens. Despite the loss to Marquez, Pacquiao was firmly established as one of the best at welter. Rios has had 2 meaningful contests above lightweight and is 1 and 1. My money's on pacman for this one.

So much love for Rios because he's an entertaining fighter but so was Arturo Gatti and look what happened to him when he took on the elite level guys.

Rios has got no chance.

macao is as much a part of china as hong kong is. they belong to china
as neither has been run as foreign colonies for well over a decade.
china has just taken a hands off policy with hong kong and macao because
they recognized back in the 1990's that mainland communist china was a failed economic
model. since then they have tried to open mainland markets while keeping the capitalist
tiger in a cage. they claim taiwan is also territory belonging to the mainland. funny how
they recognize that the places that have been run by others are so much more prosperous
to be left as "special administrative districts" to retain the prosperity but they still insist that
they are the ones who should own it all.

maybe, but he was boxing biggest bad ass so i think he probably had the mentality to shake off that & the hand wrap scandal. Drainin himself down for most his late fights probably took more out of him imo.

But even the version of Marg that Pacman faught was much better than Rios. He did alot of damage to Pac with a left hook to the body when he had him on the ropes, i've read reports in the media over the last year or so that that shot has left Pacquiao with something of a scar - it may even have contributed to getting KO'd by Marquez. JMM was either hitting the body or feinting to the body to go to the head, you can see how protective Manny is of the body shots, which in turn caused him to drop his gloves to low.

Rios is trash tbh, the guy was draining down to lightweight to give himself a size advantage in that he missed weight for 2 world title fights in a row. Not to mention he lost to Abril. His fight with the equally crude Alvarado (who was losing a fight on points to Breidy Prescott ) was a barnburner for sure, but in the rematch on Alvarado had the sense to try a little... boxing, and he made Rios look lost. Rios will barely land a punch, Pac's defence consists of stepping back out of range with the gloves up, Rios doesn't have the craft of a JMM to feint his way in nor can he counter punch. His face is going to get massacred real quick in this one.

Surprised people think Pacquaio is suddenly gonna lose to Rios. Lets not forget he got screwed by the judges in the Bradley fight and as was mentioned earlier on walked onto one against Marquez, it was hardly like he had lost every round in that fight before that point.

On both the occasions I've been to Macau I've noticed they except the Hong Kong dollar and of coarse have there own currency but don't except Chinese money, except at casino's where they even except the Kiwi dollar. Strangely enough China itself don't recognize the Kiwi dollar (or they didn't in 2010 when I was last there.)

Would be a poor match up in most circumstances, but given the severity of the KO - this is a good fight to judge what Pac has left.
