Who is going too David haye
I've always been a fan of David but I cannot and will not buy a ticket . I was in the German stadium very wet and cold when he turned in a very poor performance (sold the fight too us all then get in ,get paid and get out not hurt performance)
I'm sorry I'm not buying in too him I felt robbed
Some fans save up for months and months too attend the event and then ................... The toe

Re: Who is going too David haye
The Toe issue only came out post fight. During the fight I personally had no problem with the technique and boxing displayed throughout the bout.
Sure Haye lost but he certainly didn't "bottle it". He underestimated the physical stength of Wlad and the speed of his jabs. He genuinely thought that because Wlad was big he would be slow and he learnt the hard way.
HOWEVER, Haye kept moving and looking for openings and he took some full blooded shots, kept his form and stayed on his feet. He just lost the war of the jabs and Wlad controlled the centre of the ring beautifully. Haye's balance and conditioning were excellent he just got beat by a bigger and better fighter IMO. The whole toe issue was a stupid comment and has now overshadowed what I though was a fascinating but ultimately one sided pugilistic duel but still two fit, technically correct HW in their prime.

I think ultimately though, from 1nut's perspective, is he was unsatisfied with the performance that Haye "promised" him.
Haye whipped up everyone into a frenzy with his decapitation comments and how he was going to do this and that, and if all that bluster had not been said, it would be viewed as you accurately put it.
Haye didn't disgrace himself inside the ring, it outside it before and after, where the damage was done I think.
He will have learned a massive lesson by that.
Re: Who is going too David haye
Don't most people talk up a good fight before stepping in with wladimir ? Only to realize how good he is once there in with him ! Haye learnt alot from that fight and although he lost I would travel to Germany again to watch him against either one of k2...

I agree and think he has already shown he is more PR savvy when it comes to the charm offensive. He's recently spoke well of Audley and even stopped short of badmouthing Charr and is doing well in getting people back on side with just a little bit more humility this time around.

I will watch it on tv because I have SKY.
1) I will never pay extra ( PPV) to watch Haye.
2) Will never buy a ticket.
Toetally in agreement with those who say he talks too much and delivers the exact opposite.

In all but the Klitschko fight he's delivered IMO.
He needs to ease back on the smack talk and seems to be doing so now but in every fight other than Vlad he comes into fights in top shape, technically strong and goes for the KO.

Thank you for responding
Ste
I was ten rows away mate , he was a joke I'm sorry . I agree with tactics hit with a burst and get out of range but he was dreadful , if I remember he took the mickey making everyone wait for his ring entrance . The fans was drenched with really bad rain , we all have opinions and I respect them but he left a really bad taste in my mouth

How close to the ring did you get?1 nut wrote:but he left a really bad taste in my mouth

Valuev fight too. Remember all the David & Goliath talk and punching the head off the cardboard cut out. and how that contrasted with his performance? I was ringside for that one.Ste Hawkins wrote:In all but the Klitschko fight he's delivered IMO.
I understand people being hesitant to buy a ticket based on his promises of excitement.
I'll watch but this isn't a must see live event for me.

Did you really believe all the Valuev hype that he would tear his head off?Shirow wrote:Valuev fight too. He was always going to hit and move against a guy a foot taller and 100lbs heavier but he's not going to say that is he?!
And actually, he did wobble the giant in the final round.

Maybe people should make a list of all the empty promises boxers make and they'll maybe realise it's not just Haye who talks crap , promises knock outs and doesn't fufill them. He is very good at promoting a fight whether you like the style he does it in or not. I think a lot of people expected Haye to either win by ko or to get kayoed by Wlad and were annoyed he went out on points. "I flew to Germany and got very wet and I paid a fair few quid the least you could do is throw caution to the wind and get completely sparked out for my entertainment "
Do you think Martin Murray tried to win at all costs. I'm not picking on Murray who had an excellent performance but I'm just trying to point out a lot of fighters try and work within their own game plan even when it is not winning them the fight
Haye should have kept the toe under wraps as we've seen warriors fighting one handed before faces mangled but I'm sure a broken toe would effect your push off punching power. Even a little pinky one 'could' cause pain when pushing down on it and maybe become a niggle throughout the fight

"I flew to Germany and got very wet and I paid a fair few quid the least you could do is throw caution to the wind and get completely sparked out for my entertainment "? I don't think this is what the guy is saying. Maybe, when plan A is clearly not working, try a plan B instead of settling for a points loss. Maybe, after getting 10,000 Brits out there and chasing the fight for 3 years, mouthing off all over the place, actually act like you want to win. How about coming out on time when it is torrential rain outside instead of messing about, amongst others, Lennox Lewis and George Foreman!Final round wrote:Agreed.Ste Hawkins wrote:The Toe issue only came out post fight. The fight was a PR disaster for Haye. Even before the fight, his smacktalk had backfired. I was there, and it was far from a sell out, and the Klits have sold far more against far worse challengers. The toe thing was just embarrassing. Fair enough if his movement was impaired but I have never seen him so mobile!

Wlad's ability took away Haye's confidence enough to fail to execute plan A properly let alone plan B.mickey1975 wrote:"I flew to Germany and got very wet and I paid a fair few quid the least you could do is throw caution to the wind and get completely sparked out for my entertainment "? It obviously pissed off you and all the Brits who had to sit in the rain and see him get beaten on points so like you say poor PR and I'm sure he realises that mistake. That's why he's paired back on the trash talk.
