He had trouble getting fights with Hatton. He's now left Hatton and is now promoted by allegedly. He was out on the Cleverly bill last month so hopefully he is kept busy. Looks like lost a couple of rounds against Dai Davies which isn't a good sign but hopefully if he fights regularly his performances will improve.

Yes I saw the Davies fight and he conceded ground and seemed to have regressed in terms of his counter punching which is a shame as he has the skills and size at his weight to make it!!

could b interesting wen selby vacates. im guessing joe will b in the mix for a shot at the vacant title but imo will need at least one more fight b4 so. samir rumour has it has pulled out of purse bids with selby so he is waiting and was mandatory. smith and lindsey former champs will b considered. unbeaten english champ josh warrington 14-0. a very exciting division will alot of 50-50 fights also just below those lads u got jon slowery 13-0 chris male 12-1 leigh wood 8-0

Yeah Dais and handful when he fancies it. I was at Wembley and Murray strugggled a bit. He needs a decent win to get himself right back in a red hot division. A fight against Male would be ideal as both are around the same level atm in my estimation and a win would put them in a favourable position.

Leigh Wood is boxing Ashley Lane for Midlands title 22nd June im led to believe (at Clifton Leisure Centre in Nottingham)

So although i agree that Leigh will be one of those up there soon , hes currently got plans lower down the pecking order to deal with , although admittedly Area titles can then lead to English title fights and English can then lead to British so who knows where things will be in 6-9 months .

i watched lane on friday night on the dudley show he moved to 4-3-2 with a win over jamie ancliff( ancliff pulled out round 3 due to a bad cut was a toe to toe war) i think wood will stop him late on. josh wale stopped him in9 for a masters title

I read Lane got cuts on both eyes

Did they look bad enough to potentially put him out of the fight vs Wood ?

Pretty sure Ash had one cut and Ancliffe had 2 nasty ones on his left eye that were very close together.

after just speaking to chris his moved up to super feather struggling to make 9st he made the decision b4 his comeback fight. he was also approved without his knowledge to a rematch with josh warrington this fight wont happen unless josh were to move up which i doubt at this stage of his career. id love to see josh defend his english title against JOE MURRAY.

It seems the cut must have been enough to put lane out as Leigh Woods fight has now been changed to the Masters title vs Paul Econimedes .

Fights can be discussed by two parties and leak into the public knowledge without it ever getting the rubber stamp , Maybe they had to wait to see how things went with Lanes fight first before wasting time lodging anything , all i can say is the fight was certainly being discussed at least and the impression i was given (admittedly turned out to not be the case) was that it was a done deal
