yeah there was a definite change in gameplan from the Cotto to Guerrero fights, he hardly spent any time on the ropes and spun straight back to centre ring when he got backed up, the guy is smart no doubt, or maybe he just got a severe bollocking from dad, who did say he took far too much punishment v Cotto.

Guerrero just didn't have the goods/will to make that fight, he got discouraged early from those pot shotted single right hands and is rough, but nowhere near skilled enough to keep Floyd at mid/short range. Still can't believe people thought he had a chance in that fight, off the back of going life and death with Andre fornicating Berto.

Canelo showed different aspects to his game v Trout, head movement, intelligent pressure, angles etc, so I'm hoping he'll keep developing, such a young guy so the sky's the limit.

Whether he'll develop quick enough to catch Floyd at the back end of his career is another question, but as a hungry young lad approaching his prime,i'd give him a better shot that pretty much anyone out there.

That pretty much sums up why I think Alvarez is more dangerous than those guys..... I'd be shocked if many agreed with you that Khan or Alexander were tougher tests for FMJ than Alvarez.

Well it doesn't really, it doesn't at all mention how/why Alvarez is the guy, just why others aren't. Just so I know, will be be Alvarez' hand speed or movement which stops him taking those hard shots? Because as that is the reason the others have less chance than Canelo, I assume you don't think he takes any? How is he going to hit FMJ?

And I don't think Khan or Alexander come close to beating Mayweather, or that they are better fighters than Canelo, just that they would give Mayweather a tougher test.

I thought a little bit of creative thinking and filling in the blanks from my post would make it pretty clear, but fair enough.....

We know what happens when Khan and Alexander get hit, don't we? FMJ has the power to KO Khan with ease and the power to make Alexander his bitch, he probably doesn't have the pop to keep a young, hungry and much bigger man in his shell for 12 rounds. Would Canelo win? No. Could he give us a more entertaining and closer fight than Khan or Alexander? Absolutely.

I'd imagine Canelo could give us something similar to what Cotto gave us, just based on youth, durability and combination punching alone. Khan and Alexander give us something much more pathetic.... Like I said before, I think you'd be hard pushed to find anyone who thinks Khan or Alexander would be a tougher fight than Canelo. The kids about 170lb in the ring, has good hand speed, good durability and is a fairly creative puncher for someone so young. You are really underrating the kid if you think Khan or Alexander are a bigger threat....

EDIT: Also, I never said Canelo would win or avoid taking shots, but he will take the shots a lot better than Khan or Alexander, don't you think?

We see things differently. I think fast hands are how to trouble Floyd. Judah gave him trouble, as did Moseley when he threw.

Fighters like Alvarez are more impressive on paper, but in reality Floyd will have an easier night against him. If Floyd is much faster than you, its game over.
