Do you think FW should retire from being a promoter?
I know this has been mentioned before so shout outs to whoever brought it up first! Anyway im wondering whether Frank should just retire from promoting and put all his time and money into his channel! Its become a really good niche channel for boxing fans and at the moment I imagine its the promotional stuff that causes him more pain financially with all these fighters he's losing to matchroom! What do you guys think?

When he sells to BT Vison ( Allegedly ) he will be the biggest UK Promoter. Do not mess wth the Bunny Man!

No. The TV Channel won't work unless he can put on 3 or 4 big in house promoted shows per year. The TV Channel is a big, expensive venture, and needs more time to become profitable, all of the time, i.e. long term subsribers not just short term subscribers which he will get for one off's like Haye - Chisora. I think in reality he is better off with less boxers, then use them for each promotion. He just needs to forget what Eddie is doing. Ultimately Eddie is the top dog right now, but he is at the mercy of Sky and they hold all the cards, the exclusive contract might not be renewed. If Frank can get his house in order, plan 4 big shows a year, continue broadcasting the international fights, he could end up in a much stronger position, which would then allow a move into smaller shows.columbo wrote:I know this has been mentioned before so shout outs to whoever brought it up first! Yep - believe me, it's a good buy for BT Vision in the near future ( 12-18 months).columbo wrote:when he sells what? Bt Vision will need a Boxing Arm, just wait and see.
The business model ofr allegedly always showed it was a longer term venture ( if you believe Bunny) - just wait and see.
Box.Nation should be a staple for all fans of Boxing imo. SKY rips us off imo - and so far B.Nation are delivering more content and good content imo.

Wariorbox has made an excellent post further up.
Mr Warren definitely shouldn't (and won't) stop with what he is doing but he will probably be forced to change things slightly with less shows per year. He still has some good fighters than can top bills and generate interest, it is just a case of making the right fights. Chisora v Wilder if it comes off is one of these kind of fights in my opinion.

I think where Frank needs to change is in his approach to the boxing fans, essentially his core audience on TV and his promoted shows. He's in a situation now where the fans actually want him to fail, he obviously isn't running his own social media, and there isn't much activity anyway. Eddie on the other hand is on Twitter all the time, and he takes the time to answer any questions people have, so he has built a foundation with the core audience who think butter wouldn't melt. It's a clever albeit not unique strategy to build awareness for what he is doing.columbo wrote:Very well thought out reply!warriorbox wrote:No. The TV Channel won't work unless he can put on 3 or 4 big in house promoted shows per year. Eddie will implode.
There is already dissent from many of us re: the PPV they are lining up after we pay asmall fortune for Boxing. I don't wat any other sport apart from UFC/MMA and SKY dont have that.

There is no guarantee BT Vision will invest in boxing or buy allegedly, just as likely they will give allegedly favourable rates to be on the platform and use that as their boxing arm. Why buy it if they can profit from selling the space?Ratchet Exits Nu wrote:warriorbox wrote:No. The TV Channel won't work unless he can put on 3 or 4 big in house promoted shows per year. I suspect there are very few exclusive broadcasting agreements between allegedly and the international promoters, so any TV station could bid for the rights to screen the events, at the moment Sky don't want them, so allegedly are probably picking these fights up very cheap, but there is nothing to say BT won't just look to start outbidding allegedly, hence another reason why Frank needs big UK shows, so he has something of value to BT, if selling the channel to BT is an option.

Who says Wazza's losing money ?
If Wazza retires from Promoting, what's going to be shown on allegedly or BT Vision if sold ?
I suspect that Wazza is simply keeping his powder dry and then when his comeback is complete get ready.
Like him or loathe him, he's no man's fool.

jeez hes had a rough 6 months that's all, it doesn't seem a lifetime ago haye vs chisora made the front pages and was a huge success. He will still put on two of the biggest three shows of the year i'd wager.

Burns does not cost or make allegedly much money. Steady money, but he is no Hatton/Khan.
HE SURVIVED BOTH.
