George Hillyard - excitng new addition to Pros
I was at the fight and was glad Hillyard was beaten. He was far too cocky from the off, trying to impress his friends with his showboating. He got what he deserved in the end. I saw the kiss and he also tapped Smith in the nuts when they were in close one of the times. Maybe this defeat is what he needs to get him to settle down and not be too arrogant. I thought he looked very soft and for a 20 year old, that just isn't good. Fair play to Smith, he battled in there and got awarded the win. Some record he has, I think that was his 21st fight this year! I reckon McGuigan would have taken George to the cleaners if he had been working for Sky on that fight. Regarding Barry Hearn, I also saw him going mad at the ref afterwards, he was surrounded by a good lot of people giving him a lot of shit.
I bet your respect for Tyson plummetted after biting Holyfield's ear in half once you saw him tenderly wiping Lewis' cheek after their fight.dwo 27 wrote:I'd have prefered it if he was trying to bite him at least that's more manly.dandantheweatherman wrote:The kiss on the cheek? Funnily enough I thought Tyson was being pathetic when he did that. Anyway, I wasn't wanting Hillyard to bite Smith, just that was how it looked to me. I wonder how close he was to getting DQed.

Reminded me of Gwyn Wale, different type of fighter but in terms of attitude and willingness to engages in the old 'Micky Vann's' very similar.
I thought Smith nicked the opener because Hillyard was taking shots just to try and walk Smith down.
The last frame, could have been 10-8, given the deduction. Could have been, and suddenly the verdict looks more plausible.
I had it
ES 10-9
ES 9-10
ES 9-10
ES 9-9
Hillyard wins 38-37. But you couldn't argue with a draw either. I couldn't see Smith getting and was stunend when he did. But I suspect Hillyard v Smith will be a seller!
