Top bloke so down to earth a typical Yorkshireman!
Re: The Official "GWANNN JAMIE MCDONNELL!" Thread
seems a really nice fella aswell! Ceja deserves credit aswell though as it takes two to make a good fight like that. Ceja can come back aswell. He shouldnt be too disheartened.
Re: The Official "GWANNN JAMIE MCDONNELL!" Thread
Well done O'Donnell. Glad I was wrong about Ceja.

I personally think scores between 116-113 and a draw are all acceptable. What does everyone else think? Anyone think Ceja nicked it?ShadrachSimmo wrote:Final round wrote:One judge didn't think so.ShadrachSimmo wrote:

He had a draw. Did you watch the fight? How did you score it, look at the scores on this thread. Nobody had it for Ceja,ShadrachSimmo wrote:

115-113 McDonnell.
The commentary team was kissing his ass though.
"Masterful" "Superstar" "We saw it alone the lines of the 118-110 card"

I gave first round draw 10-10, and 2., 10. and 11. round to Ceja and others to McD. In total 117-112.

Tough fight that was a cracker but Jamie won easy enough there was no Robberies cracking fight but take a bow jay mac underdog yet again and proves everyone wrong you will get the credit and support you deserve one day
Re: The Official "GWANNN JAMIE MCDONNELL!" Thread
great news. really glad that both mcdonnell and burns - 2 very consistent, fit guys who can do the 12 rounds - won world title bouts on the same night.
mares used to hold this title and he was winning very hard fought battles, like jamie won.
was a fan of mcdonnell ever since his outstanding battle with stuart hall.
anyone record it, in full screen dvd?

Great win.....but 118-110 was a bit embarrassing wasn't it....which judge was that, not from the UK was he, by any chance?jameswilson wrote:Dave Parris scored it 118-110 to McDonnell. Seriously sometimes I wonder what the hell our judges watch.
McDonnell wins it tho, absolutely delighted.
Re: The Official "GWANNN JAMIE MCDONNELL!" Thread
It was a very good bout; fast paced and both had lots of skil and showed great fitness and heart. Ceja seemed a little slower than I imagine he'd be and Jamie is a tough man, when he's hit hard he just throws back in bunches. It was a mistake that Howard Foster was ref though he was very fair to both; Ceja came thousands of miles acros the world for his shot and got a ref who lives maybe 3 miles as the crow flies from Jamies' home; though it hd no bearing at all on the bout it loos ddgy as if the bout was loaded/stacked in Jamies way unfairly.

Jamie's performance impressed me. He showed skill and most importantly the heart needed!palooka wrote:It was a very good bout; fast paced and both had lots of skil and showed great fitness and heart.
