Not sure this will happen due to both being on different tv channels

Wouldn't be so sure.Looking On wrote:Not sure this will happen due to both being on different tv channels
If Warren was going to look after Smith he would have had him fighting on the April show and the show in June ( Headlined by Chisora Wilder). Joe Gallagher said in his column in the MEN a few weeks back how both Liam and Scott Quigg were frustrated with lack of activity.
Looks a well matched fight this really hope it happens.

Re: Erick Ochieng v Liam Beefy Smith
Liam is another mothballed fighter like Callum Johnson and Craig Evans.
But hey, who cares when BN show all this amazing foreign stuff all for a pint of beer a week ?

Liam Smith wins this. Take it the eagle is off the Froch bill then.

whats happened to callum johnson? liked the look of him when he first came on the scene but then just vanished.G0mez wrote:Liam is another mothballed fighter like Callum Johnson and Craig Evans.

Funny how the youngest smith brother is signed with matchroom isnt it
Re: Erick Ochieng v Liam Beefy Smith
Callum Johnson turned pro with a gold medal and Naz 'guiding' him.
Since then he's had more cancellations than fights.
Especially when compared to stablemate Cardle who's had twice the fights in a third of the time.

That is some spin you have put on it, mate! I also pay £60 a month to watch Callum Smith knocking out bums so maybe he should lend his brother a few bob if your putting it like that.G0mez wrote:Liam is another mothballed fighter like Callum Johnson and Craig Evans.

Smith wins close points I think. Perfect time for them both to contend for the British title.

Re: Erick Ochieng v Liam Beefy Smith
do they have a date for this card, yet? ochieng doesn't even have an opponentbroomy7s wrote:Liam Smith wins this. Take it the eagle is off the Froch bill then.
for the froch undercard 14 days out. maxwell took his ochieng fight on a few days
notice so it's still possible to find a decent match for the 25th depending on how long
he would have to prepare for smith.
Re: Erick Ochieng v Liam Beefy Smith
Hope not as it's bare as it is. I'm half regretting buying tickets.broomy7s wrote:Liam Smith wins this. Take it the eagle is off the Froch bill then.

Eagle all the way!
Re: Erick Ochieng v Liam Beefy Smith
Smith hits too hard, Erick is very skilled but does not have the power to dissuade Liam who will boss th bout to a points win.
Re: Erick Ochieng v Liam Beefy Smith
The result at the end of the bout will not surprise me I just want to know if the commonwealth belt will also be up for grabs.palooka wrote:Smith hits too hard, Erick is very skilled but does not have the power to dissuade Liam who will boss th bout to a points win.

Would be an interesting card with BJ Saunders vs Ryder and maybe Darren Barkermcato wrote:The result at the end of the bout will not surprise me I just want to know if the commonwealth belt will also be up for grabs.palooka wrote:Smith hits too hard, Erick is very skilled but does not have the power to dissuade Liam who will boss th bout to a points win.
