It has come to my attention that Kit's last name is spelled incorrectly in
the records. It is MUNRO not MUNROE, this can be confirmed from the
July 1998 "Boxing News" article on then European Champion who mentions
being decked by KIT MUNRO in the first round of their Super Middleweight
Inter-Continental title bout in 1997.
Also, I was one of the trainers of the Victoria Jaycees Boxing club
when MUNRO first joined the club. The other trainers were
Mike Sartori and Paul Deluca sr. And, in 1985, I was one of the ring
officials when Kit Munro was boxing in the 1985 BC Diamond Belt
Boxing Championships.
A correction of the name would be nice, at your earliest convenience.
p.s. I will be putting Kit Munro's name forward as a nominee for the
2014 BC AMATEUR BOXING HALL OF FAME, and would want any referencing
material like BoxRec to be correct in the name spelling. THANK YOU :idea:
