I'll be there can't wait
Re: Froch v Kessler - I got a ticket!!!
Me and a few mates going, can't wait for it, also Champions League final before it, only thing I really want to see on the undercard is the Bellew fight, so hopefully can pack in Champs League final, Bellew and Froch fights.
Re: Froch v Kessler - I got a ticket!!!
Adam smith on ringside last night said the ring walks for Froch v Kessler start at 11:15pm, that's obviously very late, if the fight goes the distance like it most probably will expect to be leaving the o2 around 12:30am, is that going to be early enough to jump on the tube ?TheCobra wrote:Me and a few mates going, can't wait for it, also Champions League final before it, only thing I really want to see on the undercard is the Bellew fight, so hopefully can pack in Champs League final, Bellew and Froch fights.

I'm there. Cannot wait. I'll be driving up from the Bournemouth area since it will be too late to get the train back - £21 to park in the official O2 car park, pretty reasonable for London I thought.
Re: Froch v Kessler - I got a ticket!!!
I think £21 is a rip off, it was £12, 5 years ago !MarkMcBurney wrote:I'm there. Cannot wait. I'll be driving up from the Bournemouth area since it will be too late to get the train back - £21 to park in the official O2 car park, pretty reasonable for London I thought.
Remember to park near the exit end, I've heard rumors of 90 minutes to get out the place before !

It cost me £30 to park near Hyde Park for 2 hrs 15 mins last year for a meeting so I'm happy enough with £21 for 24 hours!
Re: Froch v Kessler - I got a ticket!!!
Fair enough, but Hyde park is Knightsbridge/Mayfair (one of the worlds most expensive areas) the others north Greenwich !MarkMcBurney wrote:It cost me £30 to park near Hyde Park for 2 hrs 15 mins last year for a meeting so I'm happy enough with £21 for 24 hours!

Sound advice. Getting away from there can be an absolute nightmare!jessi wrote:I think £21 is a rip off, it was £12, 5 years ago !MarkMcBurney wrote:I'm there. Cannot wait. My one other experience of the O2 was Haye vs Maccarinelli. Traffic jam outside the O2 at 3am or whatever time it was. Tube shut off, roads blocked, total traffic chaos, ended up walking through the Blackwall tunnel, which had been shut to cars for cleaning. Total nightmare.
This time I've got my Thames Clipper tickets already ordered, out the Arena down to the dock and getting the hell out of there. Boat ride back to London Eye near where I'm staying and spend whatever the rest of the night is left in that area round there, maybe Soho I duno though, anyone recommend any good places to go out round near the London Eye-ish area.

Will the tube definitely be closed after the fight. There is 4 of us coming over with no clue as to how to get about the city.

Hmmm, what time does the clipper run until.....sounds like a good idea. I've been trapped after a do at the 02 before, what a mare, had to walk miles, until finally we got a taxi, it's chaos after an event like that.
Re: Froch v Kessler - I got a ticket!!!
The Clipper is especially for the event, it says it leaves 15 mins after the end of the event. So basically after the Froch fight I'll be getting out of there!jamesmcdonnell wrote:TheCobra wrote:My one other experience of the O2 was Haye vs Maccarinelli. You can book tickets for Thames Clipper here:
https://booking.thamesclippers.com/?code=boxing&hsh=1
For some reason it only let us book a return ticket, not too arsed though as staying near London Eye so will save us getting Tube to it.

Tubes will probably be shut by 12.30 but they are always loads of taxis waiting outside one of the exits and I think there are a few night buses.

Good to have you back on boxrec Larry!warmachine wrote:Its going great thanks mate. And I will have a statement to make publicly on the 12th or 13th of june regarding a comeback
I'm coming down from Glasgow for this fight, staying in Greenwich - roughly 3-4 miles from the arena. The 188 bus goes through Greenwich on way back to London (should be every 12 minutes from North Greenwich Station).
Worst case I can just walk back from the Arena!
