Re: Corrie Sanders vs
Well, it's all confined to one thread, not like the many Corrie threads that were popping up before.

Sanders/Dominic Guinn? Guinn had a solid chin; think I actually might take Corrie on points.

Re: Corrie Sanders vs
Poor old Dominic Guin. When he beat Michael Grant a lot of American pundits, like Emanuel Stewart had him pegged as the next great American heavyweight. It's not like he even went of the rails and was found to be chinny. It was just a total misjudgement. And now he's a career journeyman, whose best post-Grant result was scaring Audley Harrison to defeat on PTS. Yuck!Rover wrote:Sanders/Dominic Guinn? Re: Corrie Sanders vs
Indeed, Mercer too damn tough. He wins via late KO.polecateddy wrote:Your Mercers and McCalls are the worst matches for obvious reasons.Rover wrote:Sanders/Mercer?
Re: Corrie Sanders vs
Adamek wins a razor thin decision. I could see him getting dropped early, but being just tough enough and skilled enough to last long enough to run Sanders out of gas and take a 114-113 type decision. I could see Sanders getting him out of there or the decision going his way as well if he were able to drop Adamek more than once.Rover wrote:Sanders/Adamek?
As I say though, I think Adamek is tough enough and skilled enough to get the job done.
Re: Corrie Sanders vs
Sanders wins on points. Guinn's tough, never been stopped...but he just doesn't throw punches...poor stamina and all Corrie could manage to do just enough to win a decision here while Guinn is standing around with his hands in his pockets.Rover wrote:Sanders/Dominic Guinn? Yeah, some were calling him America's best hope since Bowe.polecateddy wrote:Poor old Dominic Guin. Re: Corrie Sanders vs
In retrospect, Corrie would have benifitted from getting out of SA and being matched hard on the American circuit. He would have won some, lost some ...but the wins would probably have been classics. And ultimately people would have had more respect for his career.

I agree. Nielsen beat a bunch of nobodies or completely past-prime guys (Holmes). The Great John L wrote:I really don't think that's even competitive.Rover wrote:Since this name has come up...
