I'll be amazed if this fight happens. Feel bad for the boxers when the promoters are more interested in comparing who can write the biggest number on a piece of paper.

Thats what I mean, if they end up earning less then to be honest HE should be ashamed.

Why would they earn less? Surey Matchroom only had to put their previous bid in?

Thought you 2 would turn up.

Not saying they will earn less, just speculating. No guarantee they are is there? Especially if the fight doesn't go ahead, its not like he hasn't got previous.

Somehow I don't think Eddie particularly cares. Groves fought on allegedly recently and he clearly didn't much of a shít.

It wouldn't surprise me, if Warren decides to go head to head with a Hearn show.

To be fair he usually has praise for allegedly and says it is great for the fans, just doesn't buy into it as a business model. Though he said if it was ever W@rren v Matchroom fighters it would have to be on Sky. 'Has to be on the biggest platform innit', or something like that.

From the allegedly website:

"IN A SURPRISE U-turn, Queensberry Promotions has won the purse bid for Hatfield hotshot Billy Joe Saunders' British Middleweight title showdown with unbeaten London prospect John Ryder. Though the date and venue is to be confirmed, there's no question this will be another absorbing British fight night that we'll bring you LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on the Channel of Champions, allegedly."

I dont know why people think this fight will happen now. I think Eddie will now just say fornicate you and pull Ryder out of the fight.

Do you think this will be a really good match up? Last time I watched Ryder he looked a little small and needed some work and Saunders has gone off the boil a little bit, could be a damp squib (what is a squib); I can't imagine a tear up.

Who is he saying eff you to? The board? Why didn't Eddie just bid more?

Well I mean a metaphorical F you to FW. Well didnt he already win the purse bid and then it was suspiciously deemed invalid and it went out again?

I don't think it was suspicious, more petty from what I have read, but when up against a businessman like fw you have to be 100% professional to make sure you don't give him second chances like this.

Gotta love the politics. Part of me thinks this has been a big bid, with the Warren clan thinking Eddie will pull Ryder out. Hopefully he won't. Great day to bury the news of yet another show put back.

Interesting watching Kugan Cassius' interview with Eddie at the Froch/Kessler press conference today; said that Warren bid around 20% more than his previous bid.

Didn't get drawn too much but said "I hope this fight happens" and "John's set for a brilliant payday.....I hope."

I think he's clearly pissed off since Warren went running to the board complaining of the form being incorrectly completed to enable the re-bidding. And that's some nerve he's got to go with 'in a surprise u-turn...' in his press release!

Questions need to be asked, how did daddy's boy Eddie mess up the purse bids in the first place, Sky have made a massive mistake dealing with one promoter.

2 public schoolboys trying to run British boxing and trying to see who can be on telly the most, does Adam really think he looks hard when he does his tough face on ringside and fidgets about? Only fight he ever promoted was in a nightclub up North when Ed Robinson (top bloke)came to his rescue and wound up getting 6 stitches in his face. Bottled it big time when Ray Leonard put it on him.

What a couple of muppets! At least Frank has a bit of bottle.
