you can say that again. Way to mock somebody from behind a keyboard for missing a fcking apostrophe and a comma. Get a life...........or work your way up the ratings and go fight Devon Alexander like Purdy did!

Purdy was an embarrassment and I was pleased it was stopped so we could get on and watch the excellent main event.

For anyone not interested in watching a punch bag taking a hammering, it was a terrible fight for a main support. Was Purdy the best replacement they could have found? Seriously?

Aleksander will beat Brook if they ever fight.
Another person who hasn't got a clue about boxing brains of a nat
It's called an opinion. I dont think Purdy took advantage of his big chance against a fighter who had hurt his best hand.

Martin Murray gave his all against Martinez, I dont think Purdy did.

If that makes me a nat, then so be it.

So Purdy had every right to be in there but was in piss poor shape and gave his all walking around getting punched in the face? Fair play to Purdy, must have been a nice pay cheque but remember why he got paid. He's supposed to entertain people, to actually fight. No blame at Barker for pulling him out but how did Purdy ever plan on winning that fight? Did he ever expect to win? The disdain for fans shown on here sometimes is ridiculous.

If that was the best he could do then he shouldn't have been in there. Top marks for being brave to an extent against a one armed man.

Bottom line is Matchroom and Purdy jumped at the chance of making good money and put up minimal effort in return. If he can't make the weight with 4 weeks notice, he shouldn't have accepted the fight. And the plan was obviously to pull him out before he got hurt.
Blame the IBF for putting him in their rankings, it shows how clueless they are if they can't find a better welterweight than Purdy to be their mandatory.

It was fornicate ing awful to watch Purdy looked fat and crap.
If he had taken any friends out to support him he should apologise for wasting their time and money.
If he had tried to lose weight he must have been huge a month ago should have done a lot better with a great oppurtunitie. Others would have.

This is the second time this has been mentioned. Can anybody confirm that he has since paid off his mortgage?

That was a cut form a longer post - I'd responded to mitchelllykra who didn't answer back. Hope Purdy does pay off the mortgage, it'll have been worthwhile then but imagine he's not had the cash in his hand just yet.
