John Murray's also a fan of the no head movement approach that tends to lead to wars...

I've been told he is a good joiner and may be a bit fed up of boxing. I know his brother was a very good fighter too but gave it up to make more money working.

He was flung in deep very early, like Kevin Anderson, who was also in many wars. Kevin's fight with Young Mutley was heavy going.

John Simpson has been in the most grueling fights for me n recent years. He was robbed so many times too. Tough man.

Yes his brother was David Appleby I think? Boxed boxed for Sparta ABC he fought my mate Daany Watson years ago in a humdinger of a fight in Edinburgh great to watch, Danny is on a comeback at the moment 3 fights 3 wins he will defo have some wars remember the name

Neville Brown. One guy that was in alot of entertaining wars, but is thought of as more of a boxer.
His run as British Supermiddle champion had some smashers against Grant, Colarusso, Cummins. Before giving Steve Collins all he could handle in a WBO title shot.

Yeah Neville had some great fights win or lose. He had a nice style to watch and a punch. Plus he could get hurt or shaken in fights which just added to the excitement. His one against Cummins had a right atmosphere to it.

I think someone mentioned Ayers already, but Colin Dunne and Shea Neary had some exciting fights too.

I keep seeing Clifton doing security of late (more so than usual), good to see him looking well.

Both of them were in the Ingle stable for a while, weren't they? I seem to remember Brown changing his shorts to a slightly flashier pair :)

Yeah, he had that ridiculous fight with PJ Gallagher. He used to come in like Mike Tyson but unfortunately didn't have a great deal of power, decent guy to watch fight though, always had a great engine.

I used to do some vluntary work with a man from Burton and he knew Neville Brown for years and said he never mentioned that he was a boxer and never tried to be the 'big n' around anyone. He said he was a really decent man.

Technically you can only be British if you're from Britain and that's the island that comprises England, Scotland and Wales ... the UK is Britain plus Northern Ireland :TU:

Anyone remember the johnny armour fights with ampofo (was it). Blinding trilogy.

Moorsey was all action, but wasnt really in that many wars to be honest. 4? Maybe 5. Just the fact when he was in one they were epic! Jones 3, Macklin!
