Froch v Kessler card RBR thread

Post by jameswilson »

Bellew v Chilemba just finished. Again not the most exciting fight but Bellew looked much better and landed far more cleanly than he did in the first fight.

Bellew wins UD 116-112 I think 3 times (didn't hear the second scorecard.)

Neither of them are gonna beat Dawson IMO. He's on a different level to those guys.

One card was 117-112 I think. Pretty scrappy fight. Can't see either guy having any chance vs the top fighters in the division.

There were never any questions about Bellew for me, lots of pride but not close to world class. It was like he was wading through treacle tonight and Chilemba doesn't have much himself. Dawson will beat Tony easily if he even fights him.

Maybe not next but he is the mandatory now, so eventually he will fight for the WBC title.

Haye is normally ringside with Groves' fights. Surprised he's not today.

Great jacket though.

There wasn't much method in TB's work in the second half of the fight but he really went for it and tried to push the fight but in some of the later rounds he was just pressing straight in no feints at all making it easy for Chilemba to avoid them but who wants to watch Chilemba fight again? Someone needs to tell him it's the entertainment business.

Haye's jacket terrifies me.

I blame George Groves.

If you can get Tyson Fury in the room when you tell Groves then all the better.

That first punch Gonazalez caught Groves with and he held on. He can punch a bit .

That short hook that Gonazalez throws is his danger punch, but Groves looks good so far
