116-114 Froch.

Was the ref trying to step in and tell Froch to keep his shots up rather than stop it? There were a couple of borderline shots in that exchange.

Totally agree it was for low blows, anyone who thinks he was trying to stop that is nuts, it looked like he was expecting a lull in the action.

He did land a low one just before the ref looked like he was going to get between them.

What with me and scoring Kessler fights in the uk draws when everyone thinks the Brit clearly won.

Round 1 Froch
Round 2 Froch
Round 3 Froch
Round 4 Kessler
Round 5 Kessler
Round 6 Kessler
Round 7 Froch
Round 8 Froch
Round 9 Kessler
Round 10 Kessler
Round 11 Kessler
Round 12 Froch

Anyone score this 117-112 or more need to watch it again. I can see some giving the 4th and 9th to Froch.... But Kessler won 4 rounds clear.

x2. unbelievable final round.
Unreal guts from both, Kessler is an iron man - Froch had him on a few occasions there, but he just refused to buckle, and even came back and hurt Carl late.
Can't say enough about these two - the recent but great tradition of amazing super middle weight super fights goes on. No idea who scored it 118-110, but best forgotten as he was obviously drunk.
No third fight, too much punishment, and Kessler can retire a Danish legend.

Thought it was a clear decision to Froch and kessler seemed to agree too.

So much respect for Kessler, he has been classy throughout and proved how much of a warrior was in there - Severely rocked in the 9th, came back fighting and rocked Froch as badly as I have seen in the 11th. The power is definitely still there!

For once, I don't feel let down by a big fight.

Agreed. Kessler looks just that bit long in the tooth now. I hope he retires, he's been a fine fighter.

Froch might go in with ward again but I feel it would be the same result again.

Don't remember him being severely rocked in the ninth. It was one of the more uneventful rounds if I recall.

I took from Mccracken very honest interview that he doesn't think Froch beats Ward in a rematch

When asked about ward on the HBO post fight interview froch did not seem keen at all on a ward remach, said he does not like his style and if they fought next hes does not guarentee that he could beat him....pretty honest stuff, sounded like he would rather rubber match kessler. Ward however was very game for a rematch, said froch defo deserves one.
