Eddie Foy Jr's Boxers

I'm new to this site and not sure where to start. I'm researching my father in-laws boxing career. His name was James L Harris and fought under the name of Kid Mahoney. He learned to box at the CYO in Joliet,Illinois. He said he went pro and moved to California in the late 1950's. He said his manager was Eddie Foy (Jr)? Does anybody know any sites where I might find out more about fighters managed by Eddie Foy? Does anybody remember the name Kid Mahoney in California Pro Boxing in the 1950's? He is in his 70's now and were trying to find out info for his family reunion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
