Chris Keane Vs Neil Dawson WBO International Title 31st May

Post by Boxingcutsman »

Unbeaten Chris Keane Takes On The Hard Hitting, Game, Neil Dawson For The WBO International Cruiserweight Title Tomorrow Night At Walsall Town Hall On The Undercard Of Gethin Vs Diaz IBF World Title Final Eliminator Live On Allegedley Channel. I Think Its A Good/Tough Test For Both & Nice To See 2 Out Of The Top 4 In The Division IMO Facing Each Other & Was Just Wondering What People Thought Of This Fight Has It Seems To Have Not Been Mentioned Much, But A Win For Either Lad Will Surely Put Them In Big Fights Next & Give The Winner A Good Ranking ?

You've said it all already really. Fair play to both camps for taking it. It's a good match and the winner will be sitting pretty and surely put in the frame for a British or above title shot. Very much looking forward to it.

I've re-worded the original post to clarify what I mean and to stop anymore silly, childish replies about over usage of capital letters & position of lads in rankings :TU:

I think stops him in a real good fight.Very heavy handed and quick is keane and think this will be too much.Wouldnt be surprised to see keane come thru a mini crisis as Dawson can whack and Keane likes to get up to people and hit them.Anywhere between 4.7 Keane stoppage for me

The only good thing about the cruiserweight division even though it could be better. Is there is no stand out star at the moment. That's why the fights are there to be made. I don't think the best man is british champion. Keane may well wins this but then he will need to fight Dickinson.

On another note I will be there cheering away my mate who makes his pro debut come on Dezzie Bowater.

Well the bookies are making Keane quite a large favorite at 2/7 and Dawson at 4's.

Have to say I don't agree with most of the Boxing News rankings, I have Keane at 6.

We would just like to say Chris is ok, and was after 12 seconds but thats not long enough unfortunately we're gutted obviously but this is the business we are in. Chris hurt Dawson & sillily rushed in hands down and walked onto a shot that caught him high around the temple area and his senses were there but his legs wasn't unfortunately, but that's boxing for you. Chris will be back better & more experienced from this. We would like to congratulate Neil Dawson & Carl Greaves on the win & wish them all the best has they move in on the British Title.

He's a strange one that Dawson, i put in another thread that Keane needed to prepare for the Dawson that beat Conquest. If you'd seen other fights of Dawson you'd have never picked him to of won against both Conquest and Keane, but thats boxing for you. He does seem to have a whack on him, both wins were by high shots that took away the motor skills of the opponents.

I know prizefighter is slightly different, but i thought Dawson looked poor in that one. And it was only a couple of weeks ago. I had been impressed so far by Keane and thought he'd get through last nights fight ok.

Know neil and his dad well, and he's defo a chip off the old block!! While not the sharpest re. Footwork n handspeed he is technically sound, a decent puncher and a big heart. He didn't have many ams but got his seasoning in sparrin countless rounds with mark hobson early on imo, and any1 who knows chris aston knows those boys dont take prisioners in sparrin...long may it continue for the Thorpe hesley hitman!!!

I did chuckle that Dawson has won the WBO international title against Conquest, and then the 'Vacant' WBO international title against Keane.

Did he give it up after Conquest to fight for the vacant title against Keane?
