Did he give it up after Conquest to fight for the vacant title against Keane?
I think as far as he was aware he was defending?
Yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if there's a couple of other 'vacant' titles going around as well , The WBo are a bit of a nightmare for it

Neil was stripped after weighing in below the cruiserweight limit to go in prizefighter that's why it was a vacant title he was going to vacate anyway to let keane fight for it but after his disappointing performance in pf he deciding to fight keane because that was the only way forward.

According to BoxRec Dawson weighed 199¼ against McIntosh in Prizefighter.

What was the reason behind Dawson's break in boxing between 2005-2011?
I had forgot his up and downer against Moran in 2005, that was another good KO by him. I think the way to beat Neil is don't hurt him  , as he seems to land a big one when he gets stung.

Hope he gets that British title shot.

You don't get what I'm saying he weighed under the cruiserweight limit that's why they stripped him if he would of weighed over it he would of been ok because the limit for prizefighter was 202ibs but he couldn't put no more weight on plus he had decided already he was going to vacate anyway to concentrate on the British title shot but with what happened in prizefighter all the plans changed.

I dont quite follow ,

He was under the weight limit so he got stripped , is that because they dont recognise the 3 round format and therfore if he was over the weight it wouldnt have been classed a cruiserweight bout ? , or maybe because he lost , a bit like how danny williams was supposedly going to be stripped of the British when he lost in prizefighter , although if i remember rightly they didnt actually end up stripping williams .

strange situation regarldess .

Okay, I get it now.

Couldn't Dawson have worn something heavy to put him over the weight limit?

Wouldn't that of counted him out of the Prizefighter contests though?
Doesn't really matter either way, as he won the belt again, and this gives him a ranking in the WBO, as of May he's in at number 10.

Not if he was under 202 lbs.

Simmons has only beat 2 lads with winning records billy he's not really fought no one so your telling me he deserves to have a crack at the British before Dawson. Taking away prizefighter dawsons been in the opponents own back yard his last 3 fights 2 of them unbeaten and they've not lasted 3 rounds between them now that's a man that deserves his chance.

Dawson deserves the shot far more than Simmons does.
