I'd be shocked if he were licensed.

Definitely has the edge in experience though.

Reportedly has been active in bare knuckle and Muay Thai during the past 79 years.

Dod Oldfield is not scheduled to fight anywhere that I've seen. There are 3 threads about this, and I've not seen one shred of evidence that Oldfield is scheduled to compete in a bout. If there's a link that shows he's scheduled to fight somebody...feel free to post it. I just checked the schedule of upcoming fights in Japan...no Dod Oldfield fight to be found.

There was a link to Oldfield's Boxrec page last night posted where he was scheduled to fight one Fred Hilton in a 15-rounder.

Is he still alive? He would be 106 if so. I think he's already won the fight.

I'd never heard of him, but there's no date of death listed.
79 year layoff; I've never heard of anything remotely close to that.

I've checked his record as well as the Schedule of upcoming fights in Japan. I've not seen him scheduled to fight anybody anywhere.

What would be the strategy fighting a 106 year old? I say cover up and go with strictly defense for the 1st round, if he doesn't have a heart attack after 1 round, he would surely be gassed.

Of course I suppose you could just smoke him in the 1st round as long as you have a pulse and even the most basic idea of how to fight. What's the story with Fred Hilton, is he an old ass dude also?

Nah...I think someone is messing with database and having fun. Probably the same person who used to mess the Hillyard Hammer data.

Someone's hacking into the database?
I know Forum users don't have access to it to edit it; if someone's hacking into it, that individual should be punished criminally.

Excellent strategic advice. Ringside physicians should be well-prepared.

Despite the physical disadvantages, Oldfield will likely have the edge in experience.

He should use this to his advantage.

Kudos to the man for maintaining his bantamweight form over 79 years of inactivity.

Keep in mind though, that Oldfield has gone the 15 round distance 57 times, and 20 rounds at least once.
