Tyson Fury ducks Kubrat Pulev

Post by Freedom2013 »

All he had to do is beat Pulev to become IBF mandatory, and then have a career payday against Wlad for multiple world titles.

Tyson Fury is a disgrace to the name "Tyson" - Mike Tyson never blatantly ducked anybody.

Easy tiger, I think you'll find he's fighting David Haye instead. :bag:

Sod off, Freedom2013.

Most of Wladimir's opponents don't have to fight multiple world class opponents to get a shot at the title, so why should Fury?

It always made far more sense to fight Haye. He'll get a massive purse fighting Haye and a shot at either Klit and will have way more bargaining power. Fighting Haye is a win-win regardless of the outcome

Mike Tyson only fought lennox lewis when the money was too huge to ignore and he pretty much had nowhere else to go. I'd hardly hold him up as a beacon of courage. what with the ear biting, punching after the bell, trying to break opponents arms, manhandling refs etc.

Apart from when he gave up the WBC title rather than face Lennox Lewis

It actually isn't because it is not a competitive fight Fury's chin is too suspect and Haye is a massive puncher and will get chin and when he does it will be game over.

I think it'll go the distance. If Fury behaves himself and fights to his ability, he'll get off the floor to win the a points decision.

even a strong, fit man has a task to keep 6'9" and 18 stone off him. But I agree I would expect Haye to do it. Go to the body to weaken the head. Haye could stop Fury with body shots, think Fury would need a bit of a lucky punch to catch him out.

You pay for sky sports the sports channel, not sky sports the boxing channel.

If haye v Fury happens, its a definite PPV, and one I would be happy to pay for.

I agree, this will get far more viewers. 2 Brits, 2 heavyweights, 2 people who just about all sport (in general) fans will have heard of, and the build up will be immense. I will gladly shell £15 for this. Personally think Haye will win inside 4 rounds, but would be well up for this. :bag:

Since when has it been news that Haye is fighting Fury?

If so then its bigger and better than Fury-Pulev. If it is not happening then it seems Fury is indeed looking to fight non-punching small chaps en route to a title challenge.

Haye's apparently advise he will now be unable to make the revised charr date in the last couple of hours and hennessey didnt even enter a purse bid for the EBU title.
