Met an old guy at a pub in Seymour who said he fought out of Jack Rennies gym. Told me Lionel was called Rosey by all the blokes at the gym. Gave Henry Nissan a lift once when his car broke down and I remember I met Johnnie obrien when he sparred at Harry Martin and Norm Taylor's gym. He said I had good hands :)

hello popeye. i was only a kid up here in Newcastle when Tommy was fighting, so your talking about the 50,s and earlier, he was a tough nut inside and outside the ring, i saw his sister yesterday at our local club,he may have had a son fighting in the 70,s, i will check it out foryou, one of his brothers died not long ago, his father used to hire horses out to us for 10 bob a half day, great to hear Tommys still alive, all the best
