Every time I try to use the research database, I get about five or six boxers then I get this message that the servers need upgrades or some such nonsense and it tells me to log in. No offense, but I really don't want a forum, I would like to do research. I like your boxer profile format, but this is getting really tiresome.
Does anyone have a clue as to what's going on?
WTF -- Server Problems?
Re: WTF -- Server Problems?
for the time being, you must log in to get full features.
Someday perhaps you may be able to access all features without signing up.....but that day is not here.

Full features of what -- a forum? There's no access to the database once you log in so what's the point?
Re: WTF -- Server Problems?
I'm just guessing, but I'm thinking you'll a get a few more advertisements once logged in lol.
Helps pay the bills maybe?
If you log in, it all works....you don't need to be a part of any forum activity.
It's "the price of doing business"? (Guess on my part...)

Re: WTF -- Server Problems?
How on earth do you get to search the database once you log in to the forum? If I do a Google search for a boxer it takes me to a BoxRec database page. I used to be able to search this database until the stupid "managing the servers" message locks me out. So if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please let me know. Otherwise I'm off to FightsRec.com...
Re: WTF -- Server Problems?
1. You need to join....log in. The site is NOT just a forum. But once logged, I promise the data base is accessible.
2. ....I'll rephrase.....Once you log in...it all works.
3. Fightsrec?...may be the answer if this is too complex.
4. and..Yes, it does appear that this an extra step. Yes I don't think you used to have to do it. Yes it may be temporary.
....I hope this has been helpful. And simple.

Let me rephrase. Once I log in the site changes from the home page to the forum page. The search link only allows you to search the forum. And so it really doesn't all work now, does it? There is a very large difference between your homepage and the page you get once you log in. And why is that? I find this site less user friendly and, dare I say it, simple to navigate that others.

When you are directed to the forum page, click on the BoxRec icon at the top of the page.derbygisclair wrote:Let me rephrase. Once I log in the site changes from the home page to the forum page. This'll bring you to the BoxRec homepage. Then you can use the search function for boxers records.
That OK?
