Thanks Beltane for the link. Apart from an appalling fight was the ring a legal size ?. It appeared as though at best it was 3m x 3m.

A bout against Dunny Bill is really not an option, although Dunny is still learning the ropes, he is very fit and hits hard. And Dunny comes with a big asking price! Actually Dunny versus Fujimoto would be a better fit, but neither's managers would want it to happen.
That rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" was right up there with Roseanne's effort.

Ive watch the fight and i think 1: Chauncey is suffering from depression.
2: Or he has his head up his arse.
Losing to tank Willams is phucked, All he had to do was move to his right or left or-night? Losing to the jap seemed like canon foddler nice pay day.
I dont get it, Chancy talks about helping unprivileged kids out, Talk big about fighting de Mori, And sparing the likses of Robert Helenius and Shane Cameron,Then says he will see ho whe goes after another fight or two?. I can be judged buy my Irish Stand Down fighting - but Chauncey you seem to be a hotdog on sale till the red light ran out. WTF happend to you>?

I hope to have one more fight in New Zealand or close to it, then back home, then probably gonna call it a day. I think it's fair to say I wasn't born to be an athlete. I tried hard for years but couldn't get my body where it needed to be to compete at the high level. I trained hard for my last few fights, but when fight time came around, I feel just flat out burned out. Credit to my opponents, but in reality, these guys were not much, esspecially on the world scene.
As I said, one or 2 more then I'll be onto the next step of life.
:TU:
So you've had the one fight in the U.S when's the fight in N.Z (or close to it)?

Bowe would be mid 40s minimum. Not that Welliver has much left. Bowe could beat him.

Bowe is 44 or 45 (depending on your source) and has not fought since 2008. He has had a lot of trouble with the law and it is hard to keep track of whether or not he is in prison.

I think he just throws his name out there alot, this fight would be worrying if it came off though.

Which forum did you see this in? Because anytime I've been asked about it, I've said no.

I was reading on esb where messer was posting after re reading maybe its all talk and more bowes side then you,but your mate can get a little carried away and he seems in the know with you and your team, hes talking like its all on ..

quote"But make no mistake about it....more arses are getting kicked and more dinosaurs are getting hunted before he retires. The dream is alive and the tournament is 2 tickets to Paradise.....for him and his fiancee...I will hide in the suit case! "

Anyway good luck with the fight game and I respect that you come here and talk on the fourums even with all the naysayers.. I think iv'e been a bit hard on you in the past, mostly because of the crazy fan boys posting but that aside,, Please get some decent fights win or lose is better then fighting old fallas.

I was at that as well. There doesn't seem be that much boxing happening in Auckland at the moment, shame. N2Shape has a show in april, shaping up to be a good one but there seems little else. Bruce Glozier says he has one in april aswell but that seems along way off. Maybe I'll catch you at a show mate. :TU:

Yep sure, So hard to get decent boxing coverage in NZ, I guess small country no cash in it but its good promoters still put what they do on in NZ, with the most of the money in rugby and other sports. I think it will get bigger as bigger fights are put on with the likes of when Tua/barret and Cameron fights.

And the guy is barely 30 years old. Add in many other trips to Germany for championship sparring camps. He's been to Russia to be Povetkin's #1 Sparring partner for the Chagaev fight. He's been to Puerto Rico and various other places for the WBO and WBC Conventions. The dude has racked up the frequent flier miles.

That is how you do it....take the show to everywhere in the world and take every opportunity to get into the ring with the best HW's in the world. Sometimes it is a good day and a fight with an Olympic Gold Medalist in Germany on a mega HW card. But most of the time it is by way of earning a sparring check for an honest days work. Wladimir, Mike Tyson, Briggs, Tua, Cameron, Valuev, Povetkin, Huck, Helenius, McCall, Whitaker, Dokiwari, Bydenko, and oodles of other dudes all touched gloves with Welliver in the rings where you get no credit on your record for it.

Beyond that, outside of the actual fighting aspect, Chauncy is rubbing elbows with people like George Foreman, Don King, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar DLH, Larry Holmes, Tommy Hearns, Erik Morales, Macho Camacho, and a list of dudes I could go all day with at various boxing events. That type of career compensation is priceless.

And then to top it off....he rolls with legends as close personal friends. His childhood hero Joe Hipp is his trainer. Another childhood hero Greg Haugen also has trained him. He rolls with Roland Jankelson who is his boxing manager idol now managing him.

If he was a kid growing up as a fan of business he'd have to be rolling with Donald Trump, Jack Welch, and Lee Iacocca to achieve the equivalent. He'd have to be rubbing elbows with Bill Gates, Ross Perot, Alan Greenspan, various Russian Oligarchs, and the other wealthy elites of the world to be on par with his boxing. And if he were doing all that by 30 years old he'd be considered a business prodigy.

Don't forget that he is also in the managing business now as he co-manages Ik Yang with Jankelson...an undefeated Chinese lightweight who lives in his basement now and trains at his brand new gym.....BoxFit Spokane! Very few people ever achieve as much as Welliver in a life time of being involved in boxing. And he is just getting started.....he's a boxing prodigy. :box:

Let's keep it real Kronk. The 5'10' Farah has a hugely padded record. Every time he tries to step up he gets smashed.
It's hard to take the 30 yr old Chauncey seriously when he invariably climbs into the ring grossly overweight.
At 282 lbs he resembles a barrel of lard.
Maybe a double mastectomy and a stomach stapling would help.
At this stage DeMori and "Mud Guts" Tillman would be perfect for Welliver.
Tua, Browne and Leapai all get the chocolates.

Is Messerstick ghost writing your script Kronk ? :OhYes:

I am Mark Messer........The Messer/Knife Stick. besen Messer......the swept blade. Together with Chauncy....we are The Twin Towers!

Chauncy only has Africa left to conquer so he is The African Dream Hakeem......and I am The Big Bossman with a massive Messerstick.

We are sick of the Hacksaw Duggan types chanting USA USA USA and trying to hit us with 2 by 4s. We are sick of the Million Dollar Man types who keep trying to shove 100 dollar bills into our mouths to shut us up. We are sick of The Islanders like Haku and Tama ducking us because we have harder heads and bigger chins than they do. We are sick of the Mouth Of The South types who scream insults at us through their megaphones.

That is why we make Animal crackers and feather dusters out of The Legions Of Doomers at boxing sites. It is why we barber shop the long haired hippies who are off their Rockers. It is why we demolish the people who try to bring axes and smashes our way on forums. We will not sit back and be stung by Killer Bees! We will not be told to shut up so Bolsheviks can sing anthems. And we will not fear any Earthquakes or Typhoons heading our way.

We are the Tag team Champions of boxing forums. And anybody that says otherwise will be cuffed and stuffed with a massive Messerstick! :box:

You guys don't like my WWE analogy?

I don't know why? Susie Bill Williams has had nothing but scripted WWE type matches. de Mori is like the old days of WWF when the Superstars never faced eachother and instead body slammed the shit out of guys who looked like they were picked out of the crowd. He got KTFO by one of the spectators though.

You asked about The Messerstick and I told you.....it is German for knife or blade. I'm Mark Messer Schmidt.....cause I drop bombs and rock to Lynyrd Skynyrd. :box:
