I take it that aint bothering to put the fight on television, as usual. I miss watching Lenny's fights on Sky Sports. A good honest fighter. Not the best boxer ever, but at least deserves his fights televised. (The fact that he is promoted by Meaty Mick don't help, he's usually tucked on the undercard, with maybe a round or two getting on Channel 5.)

How do people see this fight going for him?

Not sure if I'll get much time Saturday evening, as I got a mate round to watch the England rugby game in the evening and have a drink. Thought afterwards, whilst there was beer going, I'd put Channel Five's offering on.

Currently, my internet is the most unreliable I've ever had and I'm thinking of changing it. So God knows how well a live stream would work. But feel free to post it. If I got a choice between Lenny Daws and James DeGale, and there were no other factors, I'd watch Daws. I can't stand DeGale.

Di Rocco is tidy and skilful but he is not that strong mentally, Lenny has to take him minute by minute, it will be hard for six rounds and he will almost certainly be down on the cards but then he does
what he does with that engine he needs to put doubt into Di Rocco's mind, this happened against Lauri and he virtually just quit that is realistically where Lenny has to be he aint winning anything early, this guy needs to have doubt put in his mind, you come forward, and then come forward and then come forward, be prepared to be miles behind but if you are there and strong from 7 he is beatable.

In a lot of Lenny's fights he's down on the cards by about the midway mark, he tends to take a few rounds to warm up and then finishes strong.

Of course, the foreign judges may not look at a strong second half of the fight as favourably as British ones.

I appreciate the earlier comments about Lenny starting slow and that's something that we've really worked on in the preparation for this fight, Lenny's sparred with Ahmet Patterson, Ricky Boylan, Johnny Garton, Mitchell Smith, Martin J Ward and Peter McDonagh (who's boxed Di Rocco) all good fighters and quick starters, despite the various delays we've had, training has gone really well, we've rested whenever the date has been put back, and each time he's got back into training he's been spot on, I've been involved with Lenny for ten years and I promise you this is the best I've ever seen him, I'm really confident he'll pull it off, and it'll be much deserved as well for a "proper" professional and top bloke.

I didn't realise anybody involved in his camp posted on this site.

I will say though, I've always been a fan of his. I grew up in Wallington which isn't too far from where he lives. I worked in Morden for a few months, and there used to be posters up advertising his fights all around town. I live in Croydon, but when his fights were on Sky Sports I'd go down a local pub and watch him and cheer him on. I have some blurred memories of shouting Lenny on in the pub.

In days where boxers think that opening their mouth and trash talking opponents is entertaining, it's good to see a boxer like Lenny that seems a decent and honest professional. I wish him well on Saturday, see if he can bring it home.

Good luck Ian, give Lenny all the best, keep him going here, I know you will but this guy can fold very quickly when he runs out of ideas how to stop you coming at him, I really hope Lenny
does this it would be a great night for him and he has always appeared a great pro and fully deserving of this opportunity

Thanks very much fellers, we've tried our utmost to cover everything Di Rocco does in training, and both of us are really positive about winning this, I firmly believe this will be one of Lenny's best performances to date, and that will be enough to bring that belt home.

He was robbed, Lenny boxed really well, he cut Di Rocco in the second round, and then put him over in the last round which wasn't counted although being clear it was a hard jab that put him over.
Lenny done himself and all the team proud, and over here would have won clearly, we knew what we were going into as regards how we would be treated etc but it was too good an opportunity to turn down, but he proved by far that he's European/world class, so watch this space.

ive said it many a time on here...you need a ko to win a fight in italy, and even at that you might get disqualified for some non existent infraction.

Like to see him in a British ring again soon. A few months back I e-mailed Channel 5 to express that they may wish to televise his matches live. Or if not live, at least in full. They said they'd consider it, but of course since than have lessened their boxing coverage.

Without trying to meaning to put a downer on a clearly good and unrewarded performance by Lenny but doing well in a european title fight doesnt automatically mean you're cut it at world level. The 140 division has got a lot of talent in it to be fair............... On a completely seperate note did you manage to catch the super-middle title fight between mouhamed ali ndiaye and christopher Rebrasse of france? The reason I ask is i heard that Rebrasse was also robbed!

The Lebrasse fight was scandalous the Italian boy took a lot of punishment and should have been pulled out by his corner, but if you go the distance in the home corner in Italy you obviously don't get beaten, the Italian was stretchered off to hospital shortly after.

I remember watching the italian guy before. He's originally from africa right? He looked a talented fighter to be fair so im quite shocked by that. That Lebrasse must be pretty bloody good to be fair.

Labrasse kept it simple working off the jab from the bits I saw, N'Baye couldn't get near him, he should have been pulled out.

Apparently Lenny is appealing the decision.

I reckon they should do a rematch, and stick it on telly for us to watch. Or at least make it in a main event near when Lenny lives, that way I can go.

I've read a few articles implying that the decision was fair, and one stating that the Italian won clearly.

Heard Daws was appeling right enuff. I know Tommy Gilmour is trying to get the Di Rocco over to Scotland to fight Willie Limond.
