Re: which fighter would you like to have a pint with......
I would like a pint with you my friend, but would be terrified the night would end up like a scene out of a wild west film, pub torn to pieces and doormen laid out all over the place, me hiding behind you like a scared little boytear up wrote:I had a pint with Michael Gomez 2 weeks ago or so at the junior aba s in Birmingham couldn't of picked any other boxer than Gomez what a funny guy he had more story s than me mad my day made everyone s day he just walked in the hall and had people gathering round him why he told story s great guy warrior in his time

Far from it. He's a great after dinner speaker and auctioneer! I've had the pleasure of being In his company and he's always on form.jessi wrote:He seems boring !banjo wrote:The best boxer ever to come from these shores John Conteh.

I don't really do a pint, it's all or nothing for me, so it'd have to be Tony Galento or Stanley Ketchel.

oscar de la hoys sugar ray leonard and richie woodhall,i met richie in manchester airport last august and again in sanford orlando airport 2 weeks later but was abit star struck to strike a decent convo with him plus he was with his family so didnt really want to intrude, richie is the best british boxing all rounder britain has in terms of analyst, commentator and judge of a fight.

I had a pint with Rob Walker once.

I sometimes forget about Gomez, I'm a cab driver and would love to pick him up, I'm not sure about have a pint with him as I get the feeling he could be a handful after a few beers.tear up wrote:I had a pint with Michael Gomez 2 weeks ago or so at the junior aba s in Birmingham couldn't of picked any other boxer than Gomez what a funny guy he had more story s than me mad my day made everyone s day he just walked in the hall and had people gathering round him why he told story s great guy warrior in his time
Its not quite the same but I had a drink with richie Davis ( the ref ) after the magnificent 7 in Birmingham a couple of years ago, what a nice bloke with great stories to tell !
Re: which fighter would you like to have a pint with......
Gomez had story's after story's wish I could of stayed all day with him great fella
Re: which fighter would you like to have a pint with......
I get the impression his antics would get a bit boring if you were sat having a couple of beers with him.Chambers2 wrote:Chris 'Simply the Best' Eubank
I get the impression that Eubank is one of those guys who is funnier to watch on television than he would be to talk to in a pub.
When he got on the news a few years back for going around with his loud speaker and protesting against whatever it was, was quite funny. As is his hogging of the camera after his son has just fought. But after ten minutes with him, you'd end up thinking; "What an arse!"

I`d bum her after a few swallies.
For a pint I`d have to say kahut would be my pick, but for a big night out on the lash I`d go for Valuev. Next to him I`d look good value to most birds and could end up with an alleyway scuttle.
