If froch fights ward again

Froch deserves the rematch. I hope he gets it. He needs it to be over here and he needs a totally different style than last time.

I like the way he fought Bute…moving in behind a barrage of short punches.

Ward always sticks his head in his opponents face and moves them around with it. He closes the distance quickly and many of Froch’s punches sailed over his head.

Froch needs to practice mauling. And using his elbows when Ward comes in with the head. He needs to be prepared for how to deal with moments in the fight when he’s shut out…takes combos…he needs to accept this will happen and minimise Ward’s success during these periods of the fight.

It would do boxing a great favour if Ward was beaten.

Carl hits hard but he’s an accumulation puncher. I’m not sure he has the one shot power to spark Ward clean out.

i like froch he is a humble man and a good hard fighter but i cant see anything else but a ward win no matter what froch turns up on the night. ward is a different class from any fighter froch has fought,id like to say froch would win if they fought again but its just not gonna happen.

I find Froch far from humble. Always makes me laugh when Froch himself says how humble he is

He's got to do a Honeyghan vs Curry; get directly in his face and not let him work. Ward grabs and smothers way better than Curry did that night, so Carl has to up his inside game. It's a big ask, he needs to become significantly better, have Ward be significantly worse, and be given a bit of a break by the ref, but it wouldn't be the first time in history someone got an unlikely result. I'll be wanting to watch it.

In the twenty odd years since Honeyghan beat Curry, every overmatched Brit has tried to "do a Honeyghan". They never do, I think it will be a great result of Carl "does a Froch" and runs him as close(even though it wasn't" as last time.

Agreed, it's at best a once in a generation turnaround, but it still represents the sort of swing in form he needs to achieve. Someone will one day do it again, it probably won't be Froch, but we will say in advance that it probably won't happen whoever it is, just like everyone said Honeyghan was never going to beat Curry. If he does it, he takes himself to another level, and I'll be cheering for himn to do it.

i didnt find him humble in his early years but then again i didnt find calazaghe or eubank humble in their early years either,froch has gotten humble since the mid stages of the super6 imo
