Just a few more notes before we go any further.

NOTE 1: Bob Foster and Maxie Rosenbloom are ranked at the 17th and 18th places this Week and so they will fight it out for the IBO Title.

NOTE 2: The Managers of the 16 top-ranked fighters in the title eliminators may choose to accept or decline your particpation in them. However if a Manager does not voice his withdrawal then it will be assumed that the title eliminator will go ahead at his blessing.

NOTE 3: In the event that a member of the top sixteen withdraws from the Title Eliminators, then in accordance with the rankings:
The current 17th ranked fighter - Bob Foster will be promoted to fill the slot.
If there is a second withdrawal the 18th ranked fighter - Maxie Rosenbloom will be promoted to fill the slot of the second absentee.
If there is a third withdrawal the 19th ranked fighter - Harold Johnson will be promoted to fill the slot of the third absentee.

And so on, and so forth.

NOTE 4: Managers names in BOLD have accepted their title eliminators.

And just a quick explanation of how the draw was made - undoubtedly I will be asked somwhere along the line this week.

The current top 16 fighters are:
1 Tommy Gibbons - WBC Number One Contender
2 Tommy Loughran - WBA Number One Contender
3 Michael Spinks - WBO Number One Contender
4 Bernard Hopkins - IBF Number One Contender

5 Dariusz Michalczewski - WBC Number Two Contender
6 Billy Fox - WBA Number Two Contender
7 Floyd Patterson - WBO Number Two Contender
8 Jack Dillon - IBF Number Two Contender

9 Michael Moorer - WBC Number Three Contender
10 Gene Tunney - WBA Number Three Contender
11 John Henry Lewis - WBO Number Three Contender
12 Jimmy Bivins - IBF Number Three Contender

13 Ezzard Charles - WBC Number Four Contender
14 Young Firpo - WBA Number Four Contender
15 Sam Langford - WBO Number Four Contender
16 Tommy Burns - IBF Number Four Contender

And so basically - after quartering up the top guys in to the various organisations, the fights are:
The Number One guys vs the Number Four guys
The Number Two guys vs the Number Three guys

simples.

However Tommy Gibbons will accept the task of slapping the Hog Snot out of Ezzard Charles.

However before Tommy accepts this does anyone want to trade for him? Since being the #1 fighter reflects a conflict of interest, I am willing to "train and trade" to anyone who suspect foul play. If there is any doubt as to my integrity and forthright intentions you may take over his management.

GBP remains the best management operation in the business, but our skills put us in a compromising position, when we are also acting as the operating commish.

In addition,

Kid Norfolk challenges YOU the little guy.....and this means ANYONE here who believes they have what it takes to mess with a GBP fighter.

Who is willing?

In other news how many times has Hog matched his fighters himself?

I think I'm trying to overthink this game!

Well where Joey fears to tread, Kid Norfolk will happily step in.

However the evil crease will likely have an "opinion" to block the inevitable power grab by the kind and benevolent CEO of GBP and current commish.

For the record Joey doesn't fear to tread anywhere, it was just a managerial decision by Bobby the Brain to pull him out of the fight. We have a plan for our fighters here at the BrainTrust, and a fight with Bob Foster wasn't in the plan for Week 6.

Moore pays the price for all the ducks he's had this season so far, I guess.

Dariusz accepts his eliminator.

Moore will answer Fitzy's challenge. Consider it signed.

Blame the Title Bout rankings Mr Detroit, EVERYONE does - and they have done for many seasons gone past.

I can officially confirm that you DID see that... Simply because I copy and pasted some of the notes from last season and I forgot to edit that part.

However, the mistake has been rectified, so no harm, no foul.

I didn't do it deliberately. See the organisation of the title elims for proof of that. I was disappointed when they were drawn against each other.
