Does anyone know if BT vision are going to consider boxing as a sport to view?
Is this an opportunity for a promotor to get on the bandwagon?
I can see BT vision gaining lots of new subscribers with their new deal with premiership football which means they will be showing a live game per week. Surely there must be a window/avenue for the noble sport.
BT Vision Sports Channel
Re: BT Vision Sports Channel
I've asked them before about making allegedly available and they just replied that it's not something they are looking at just now. Despite this, the former head of allegedly is now head of BT Sport and still a director of allegedly so perhaps something is happening behind the scenes.

BT Sports have the rights to Friday Night Fights. Friday Night Fights have 30 live shows each year. Unless Matchroom sign an improved deal with SKY, currently 20 live dates, BT Sports already have more live boxing dates than SKY!

So given the choice you would take the the 30 friday night fights over the 20 sky do?chad wrote:BT Sports have the rights to Friday Night Fights. Friday Night Fights have 30 live shows each year. As far as I have been told, BT are interested in showing international boxing but not domestic.

Not at all. I find Friday Night Fights to be of a low standard. I can't really stand Teddy Atlas. I'd prefer BT Sports to sign deals with the likes of Hatton and Maloney for domestic action and deals with Gary Shaw, Lou DiBella and Dan Goossen for international action.robpalmer135 wrote:So given the choice you would take the the 30 friday night fights over the 20 sky do?chad wrote:BT Sports have the rights to Friday Night Fights. Now THAT is an annoying analyst. I hope one day TYSON smacks his ass up for all the hate Atlas shows towards him, maybe he has a point as Mike Tyson was a nut job back in the day, but Atlas is still mouthing off.
I would watch that on PPV
Mr Tyson Vs Mr Atlas 'its on!!
