Who do you think Carl Froch fight next?
With Carl Froch considering his options after getting his revenge against his friend Mikkel Kessler who do you want to see him go in with.

I don't think Kessler will fancy another, Ward won't happen next because of his injury, so wouldn't be surprised if they got another Mack type opponent in.

Im thinking Oosthuizen , but didnt realise he held a belt to make it a unification match

Rubber match with Kessler makes no sense so soon. Don't like the thought of a Ward rematch next. Froch has said numerous times his lack of respect for the WBO belt but the fight isn't too bad but would probably mean the Groves fight is nearer than ever before. Oosthuizen holds the IBO belt, unification fight my ass. Groves fight wont happen, Froch doesn't want it next. Bernard Hopkins makes the most sense, it is a good fight especially when Hopkins would be willing to come to the UK. Froch fighting a legend in Hopkins is the fight I want to see.
Re: Who do you think Carl Froch fight next?
Have another crack at ward whilst hes still in his prime. For the real 168lb title.
Re: Who do you think Carl Froch fight next?
if i was carl id start making the right fights for the right money and probably hopkins makes him the most money atm so id fight him.

A lot of people are mentioning a 3rd fight with Kessler but in all honesty im a little bored of them fighting each other now. I dont see anything really changing in a 3rd fight aside from Kessler possibly getting stopped this time.

x2 Commercially the best fight for him, but if Froch has any manhood at all he'll fight Ward next!Kidding - hope he does fight Ward though!columbo wrote:A lot of people are mentioning a 3rd fight with Kessler but in all honesty im a little bored of them fighting each other now. I'd enjoy JC Chavez junior in vegas (very unlikely).

Hopkins up at LHW if he wants to catch up Calzaghe
It's a shame Groves and DeGale aren't a bit more seasoned, a good old domestic super middle weight dust up between either of them would have gone down very nicely but Froch is too much for them at the moment IMO
and bar a Ward rematch there's nothing that really intrigues me at SMW.

Wouldnt call that a unification bout .... IBO is the best outside of the big 4 in my opinion but if its not a big 4 belt then its not a unification as such .

I just get the feeling that Oosthuizens style is all wrong for Froch.

If I was Eddie, I'd be looking into the possibility of Chavez Jnr.
Re: Who do you think Carl Froch fight next?
Right now, I'm kinda into the idea of a Groves fight. I think Kessler would make a great trilogy down the line, but next year at least. I'd like to see a Ward rematch in the UK, but he'll probably lose and it'll be in the US anyway. If that's the next fight, get it out the way. I can't really get up for it unless I'm going to it, because I can't see it being all that exciting just watching it on TV. Groves is a good opponent. I like them both, but I'd root for Carl. Why not? All British showdowns are where it's at right now. Haye-Fury, Froch-Groves. It's a decent fight and people will get into it. I'm all about the live gate these days. Screw PPV and youtube. I want to be there. So if that's the fight that'll sell out and have a cool atmosphere, then make that one.
I'd like to see Hopkins fight, but I dunno about with Froch. I think he should go after Cleverly. I have big respect for Nard, and kind of dislike Cleverly for his paper title and his rubbish defenses. I've nothing against the guy personally, I'm sure he's a good kid. But I wouldn't like to be rooting against Bernard, who is probably the best fighter of our era, just in terms of overall achievement and he has fought pretty much everyone, other than James Toney and Andre Ward, so the guys a living legend. I don't really want to see him in with Froch.
But I'll go to and watch him fight anyone right now. Chavez jnr is a good shout, Keith. A really good shout.

Re: Who do you think Carl Froch fight next?
Hopkins is the most popular option? Didn't people see the post fight interview where his name came up? Eddie Hearn was just sat there shaking his head. I don't think it'll happen.
Quick Google search: They're looking at Kessler lll or ward ll

On Froch facebook poll its 220+ for Ward,
About 30 odd for Groves.
I'd like a GG fight, but it would seem only proper boxing fans are interested, and by far the majority want Ward.
Incidentally, not many votes for a third Kessler fight. I think that rivalry has been concluded.

DeGale is chirping up again it seems. I thought after the Groves fight he might have dropped those antics!Final round wrote:Hopkins up at LHW if he wants to catch up Calzaghe

Reckons he will fight Froch whenever Froch feels ready and he will end his career...
Also got allegedly claiming to have made a £2.5m offer to Carl to fight Clev at 12st 4lb but Froch turned it down half hour the offer was made because 'he must know how that fight would go'

It's not just DeGale everyone wants to ride Froch's coatails to stardom. Regarding Cleverley 2.5 mill is not a bad offer..lillywhite14 wrote:DeGale is chirping up again it seems. Awful shout. For many reasons.Crepitus wrote:Andre Dirrell
I'd say kess in nov is favourite. Easy fight to make and sell, lots of money for bith sides.Gives groves time to win wbo by next spring. Summer unification, then if all well I see him fighting ward late 2014.

While I do like the prospect of him fighting George Groves at some point, I won't be surprised if he has a gimme fight before Christmas before having 2/3 big fights in 2014 before cashing out as one of the greatest fighters this country has ever produced.
