I expect Dawson to win a UD but hope Stevenson can pull the win out.

I fully expect the clichés of 'Ward ruined him' to come out if Stevenson does win tho.

Great KO

Stevenson is currently one of boxing's hardest punchers pound for pound.

Quality punch and great result for Stevenson.... We were all looking to see exactly what the Ward fight and weight drop had taken out of Dawson, but the truth is the fight didn't really get going for us to get a fair idea, that punch would've put any version of Dawson away.

No wonder Adonis went ballistic: WHAT a win that was - from prison cell to world champion with a sensational 70 second KO.

Eddie Hearn will be choking on his corn flakes watching that - after the hard work of getting Tony to the brink of a title shot, he's faced with maybe the hardest hitter in the sport waiting for them - there's no way he'll want to put Bellew in with this guy.

To be fair, Chad really walked on to that one. He thought his chin would be as good as ever, but it's rare that a fighter recovers from a shattering defeat like the Ward one.
Jim Watt spotted it as usual, pointing out to his clueless co-commentator Nick "The Spoiler" Halling, that Chad was walking onto shots and had been caught a couple of time already....

His corner complained re the stoppage ( why didn't the ref just ask Chad to walk towards him ? Aren't they meant to do that? Because Dawson wouldn't have managed it ) but he looked still dazed 5 minutes later.

If HBO are looking for a super fight, they should get Adonis to move back to super middle for one fight, and get Gennady Golovkin to move up to super middle.

The frightening thing was that he stepped from Super Middleweight and was Froch's mandatory.

Great punch. It would have ko'd most light heavies Bellew included.

There'll be no queue lining up to face this guy.

As soon as I saw Dawson's approach to this fight I thought we would see him bombed out.

I'm not especially liking Stevenson though. A smart boxer who actually boxes smart would deal with him.

Not these days. Kessler had him going in their fight. If Taylor can drop you, Stevenson can stop you.

Lets not get too excited about the 35 year old Stevenson, Dawson took a frightful beating in his previous fight, the Canadian doesn't really have any other names on his record and this fight obv proves he hos a puncher but little else.
The division is not too strong at the mo, and Stevenson is there to be taken.
Bellow has earned his position, wants and needs the shot and prob has a better chance against Stevenson than Dawson.

Good result for Adonis and a good result for boxing, Dawson bores the shite outta me

I can understand Adonis' excitement at winning the title, but thought he was class-less when jumping about in Chads face after the fight

I think that was because before the fight Dawson was saying he was shit and not on his level. I think Stevenson just got carried away in the moment because of that.

Stevenson is a better boxer than people give him credit for. He's not a complete bum in that sense.
