Curran is far better than his record may show. This is a tough fight for anyone is the Super Featherweight division. I would say Ronnie will win wide points or late stoppage but it will be a hard fight.

I have never seen him box, and to be honest only know of him because of this site.

However, any boxer with ambition who travels away to box unbeaten prospects (and to get a "draw" on both ocassions) gets my support.

Hopefully he will get a a couple of breaks.

curran comes to fight thats for sure and will give everything i expect ronnie to win on points maybe late stoppage depending on how many rounds it is only 3 people hav stopped curran so far and his been in with some very good lads.

he got cut and bad eye damage wen he fought chris male showed great heart to fight on in the round but didnt come out for the 4th round. was a good test for chris cause how dougie came forward throwing not just tucking up and holding. he will give ronnie some good rounds and problems but i think ronnie will win

plus you need to dress in a penguin (Tuxedo) suit or go even smarter in a Kilt and boxing doesn't start till late with all the after speakers the foods good but the down side is a £100 plus ticket unless the boxer gives you one at half price no chance of TG giving a freebie

Like you say your paying for more than the boxing but it seems generally that the quality of fights on these shows is quite poor.

Ronnie won on points. 78-75. I had it wider with dougie takin some great shots. Ronnie a little rusty after hand injury but never in trouble. Good show with jamie Wilson winning on points and Darren train or stopping Michael stupart. Looked great doing so,

I agree on paper it didn't look great and I was a bit sceptical.. But what a night of boxing all 3 fights were very good.. Food was good.. After dinner speaker was good.. Was very impressed with Darren Traynor and Jamie Wilson.. Ronnie controlled the fight from start to finish had him only dropping the one round but a good victory.. Dougie Curran has some chin the shots he took flush were incredible a big well done to him he came to fight and gave it a go!! (Sometimes a little dirty ha) but better to try and lose than not try !! A very good show and another step forward for Ronnie

I too thought all 3 boys boxed well last night and IMO it was one of the best shows at the Sporting Club in a while.

I helped in Ronnie's corner and he fought most of the bout with one hand. He damaged his left hand in the 3rd round if I remember correctly but he stuck to his boxing and clearly beat Dougie Curran.

I was hoping Darren would get a few rounds in his bout with Michael Stupart but he hit him with a right hook to the temple halfway through the first round and Michael never recovered from it.

I never seen Jamie Wilson boxing but the lads that were down to watch Darren said he boxed well and it was an exciting bout to watch.

I look forward to seeing how all three progress over their next few bouts and seeing where they can reach in the future.

good wins for all 3 lads last night,currans been around the block and credit to the shark for basically winning with one hand,no offence to stupart who has balls of steel,but i think he should take a break from boxing,i wouldnt want him to end up with serious brain damage in the coming years,hopefully tommy gilmour keeps all three boxers busy in the coming months and we might get some champions in dundee and aberdeen again

Totally agree with the Stupart bit. Takes way too many punches. Heard he took a few last night too. Down 2/3 times. Well done to all guys who got the win. Hope Clarks hand isn't too bad.
