I think the follow up might busted a vein after the initial thumb-jab, bone breaks dont usually swell up like that

Bizarre as fornicate fight. Rematch would be cool. Now will the main event also get screwed? Maidana should pound Lopez into Bolivia.

.... forgive my ignorance but is that what happens, the fluid has no where to go and has to find somewhere really quickly before it closes and tries to repair itself?

Not really a case to state though, he threw a jab and he caught Angulo with the thumb part, it wasn't like they were in a clinch and he shoved the thumb portion up into him

Busted veins and arteries tend to swell up like that that quickly because they're entirely fluid-based, bone breakages tend not to involve as much fluid encapsulation but it's possible that Angulo has a combination of both. I couldn't tell without an mri.

Hematoma's in the upper head area swell-up a lot more than hematomas in other areas of the body because
a) With such little fat to pad blood vessels in the upper head, it's easier for those vessels to sustain much larger ruptures
b) These hematomas will keep swelling until the pressure outside the vessel equilibrates with the pressure inside the vessel. For hematomas in this area, it requires a lot of pressure, and therefore a lot of swelling.

Rematch. I was impressed with Angulo.
Not sure Haymon lets it happen. Angulo was hurting him badly with each passing round and could've set up a late KO there, coupled with there being enough other fights at 154 that are just as valuable, especially Alvarez regardless of whether he wins or loses to Mayweather
